Good luck! Just remember a couple things I learned playing music and from others. Progress comes differently to everybody, and never be afraid to ask for help from those around you. Take it slow and steady if you need to, and then once you have the basics, go nuts and try new songs. Frustration is normal too, we all have bouts of it. Just pick yourself up, and keep trying. Also, try not to bite the reed on accident, or it'll shriek. You've got this!
Mason Galyen never regret. From a person who kind of got bored with Bass Clarinet and got switched to reg. for festival, dont. Bass clarinet is amazing.

don’t worry, by eighth grade (maybe even 7th) if you keep practicing, you’ll get to where you want to be. trust me. i know:)

There are other types, such as Ab, and they play in different pitches
