The drivers side is EASY!!! Show me the front passenger side O2 sensor. I had to take the exhaust loose so I could get my hand in that tiny hole. Had to gorilla glue a strap and stick it to the connector for the front passenger O2 sensor and let it dry so the connector wouldn't go back above the transmission. What you did my 2 year old granddaughter can do.
Thank you sir I love the way you explain things honestly, it is not in a way that makes people sound crazy. I’m mostly had never found them before and you make it seem very easy to do. Thank you so much.
I was quoted 320$ to remove bank 1 sensor 1 passenger side and replace bank 2 sensor 2 b2s2 no lie 5 minutes to remove replace B1S1 dammmmm took around 6hrs till I finally removed transmission dip stick houseing after that easy from the top of the wheel wale area
Yeah you change the one on the easiest side on the driver side. Tell us how to change the one on the passenger side you can't even get your hand up in there and you don't have a long enough screwdriver to reach it and besides that the connector is reversed. Do a video how to change the upper O2 sensor on a 2004 5.4 Triton
How do you get to the passenger side on the 5.4l engine? I can only seem to get to it from underneath, but it's too tight of a fit to get any wrench or socket on it.
I ended up taking off the passenger tire and then using the end of a nail puller to take off the rubber screws in the wheel liner and take out the wheel liner. Then I was able to get my hands in there just barely and unclip the sensor and then get under the truck and unscrew it
I’d like to see how to get a rusted or seized upstream O2 sensor (B2S1) out on the 5.4l 3v engine. I can’t get anything to turn it on an ‘05 F-150 FX4 Lariat and there is no clearance for hands or tools. Add to that I don’t have a lift, so I’m working on my back from a crawler with bad shoulders. Any tried and true advice will be greatly appreciated!
th-cam.com/video/gsZaKudAXFQ/w-d-xo.html I just solved the same issue you had, mine is a 2000 4x4 Lariat with the 5.4 engine. Maybe my video will help.
it was not easy. here is my story: you will need patience, a friend for a third hand and to curse with, a 22mm crows foot, a 22mm wrench, a ziptie, 11 inch long reach 90 degree pliers, a flathead screwdriver, a ramp for the passenger side wheel if you arent on a lift, had to pull the truck up onto a ramp with the wheel turned so i could sit in the wheel well and see what i was doing. put a flashlight shining up at it from in front of it at a 45 degree angle. after i got a box wrench on it from below and busted it loose, i got a 22mm crows foot slipped around it and the torque was easy enough i manipulated it off by hand with my fingertips. my crows foot was from the Performance Tool W352 set, it had those extra teeth on it, and it wouldnt slip off, which made it a little challenging to get on but a blessing because it wouldnt just slip off. start up at the wire and wiggle it down. now to unplug electrical. i grabbed the female electric plug from below with 11 inch long reach 90 degree pliers and used a screwdriver to press the release for the male plug and had my friend pull it out while i held on to keep it steady. with that out of the way i partially closed a ziptie into a loop and slipped in above the exhaust with my left hand and manipulated it up around the female connector to it's top but not on the wire above, i used the 11" pliers in my right hand from below to maneuver it and then snugged it down. be careful not to hold the connector at its opening, the plastic becomes brittle and if you crack it, plugging back in will be the fight of your life, so hold it up high. the ziptie will make things easier when plugging back in. i unboxed the new sensor and it's wire was twice as long as the old one. i was able to get it in place by hand and screw it in. to get that last bit of torque on it i dont think i could have gotten the wrench on it from below but maybe i could have. i laid on my back looking up i held the crows foot in place with my left hand and a hammer handle with my right, and had my friend bump it with a hammer a few times. i couldnt take it off with my hand which was great by both of our standards so we moved on to plugging in. i took the twists out of the wires and then looped it around the transmission line a few times with my hand to suck up some length and keep it off the exhaust, because that line gets super hot. i grabbed the ziptie and fought the female plug a bunch with the 11" pliers and eventually got it in a good place where i could key it up with the male plug. i held it steady with the ziptie and used the pliers to push the male plug up, then i used a flathead screwdriver to push it the rest of the way because i couldnt get it with the pliers without slipping. it clicked and i was done. it wasnt easy and having that third hand really made the difference. any questions just ask
Hey Michael, Good idea on the Pipe Wrench, and I understand, to You any Pipe Wrench under 12 inches is a Small Pipe Wrench, I tell My Wife that all the time :)
this video is stupid there is no c-2 censor on top there are 4 under the vehicle two under the vehicle on the cat and 2 more on the other cat and they do not just pop out and if your lucky the threads wont get stripped witch they always do and getting the new ones in are almost imposable if there are two on top of the engine I have yet to see them. Most people don't even want to fix, you would think in this day and age they would make these easer to fix especially where we are soo worried about emissions ? I have tried to find a way to bypass these ignorant pain in the ass devises . Because when they don't work you are piloting more using twice as much gas so that is going right around the purpose of what these devises are supposed to be doing, verses an engine that has none that probably burns the same because these gases end up somewhat no matter wheatmeal if I have to I will drop an old 302 old style ford engine in and probably get more power better gas milage with less emissions and and an all around easier to work on smoother running

Why dont you do the difficult one on the passenger side?

found it easier to get passenger side by removing tire and wheel housing to get at passenger upstream 02 sensor
After reading all of this good info. I think I'll just take my 2001 5.4 to the shop. It's almost cocktail hour anyways
Thank you sir I love the way you explain things honestly, it is not in a way that makes people sound crazy. I’m mostly had never found them before and you make it seem very easy to do. Thank you so much.

Mine aint like this at all all my stuff is under the truck wonder why
2006 Ford F150 5.4L V8? Getting code P0430 b/c the cat was stolen and it got replaced and now the O2 sensor code is kicking.
That looks easy. Thanks!

I am here with that same issue. I just can't reach the plug. Can't find help anywhere.
I used a small pipe wrench from work and changed out all 4, easy squeeze peezy.
Is that bank 2 sensor 1??
Why are my 02 sensors under the truck
Are there 4 sensors on my 04' F150 4.6L ?
+Ed Matthews Yes those trucks will have 2 upstream and 2 downstream sensors.
That's the easy o2 sensor driverside.
I ended up taking off the passenger tire and then using the end of a nail puller to take off the rubber screws in the wheel liner and take out the wheel liner. Then I was able to get my hands in there just barely and unclip the sensor and then get under the truck and unscrew it

any questions just ask
the drivers side is a major pita ...pretty much have to drop the exhaust pipe ///not the manifold just the pipe connected to it
Need to know passenger side 02 sensor upstream
Is not for 06 f150, 5.4, uou should do different videos for different kinds of motors!!
I wish the 2003 was that easy. 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Michael, Good idea on the Pipe Wrench, and I understand, to You any Pipe Wrench under 12 inches is a Small Pipe Wrench, I tell My Wife that all the time :)
His wrong on that it's not just like that on the other side to much stuff in the way it has to be done from underneath This must not be Lariot
2000 f-150 p0133 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1
Yeah and it easier to pick a vehicle that receives one topside lol.
This is not for 04-08 f150 !!
That is exactly what I was thinking! It looks so foreign to what is under my truck’s hood that I was baffled for a minute!!
Yeah you showed the easiest one to change. The one on the side is almost impossible to even get at it
Bank1 sensor1
