You’re not asked to. You give up your midwife program in America and consistently throw it in his face…. And then try to take the program in Iceland and just expect them to have the courses in YOUR home language…. When the website to get the information is not even in YOUR home language… I mean is that smart? And then to be surprised? Is this smart? She could have continued to date him and visit him and get her degree in America where she had the plan to do so to begin with…. Then could have moved wherever she wanted to and had her credentials transferred. Her relationship could have developed with him naturally to the point where he would have been where she is at with him now and it would somehow make sense for them to get married and have children. He is nowhere ready at this point. He doesn’t even know who she truly is because she’s been hiding it from him the whole time by her admission. Does it make sense for her to expect to get married now? No. But you watch… all this will be thrown in his face like it’s his fault. When SHE decided to do all of this to begin with. Had they saved up a bunch of money In America, then went to Thailand. They’d be in a better spot financially and could just enjoy life in Thailand right now and really not even had to work. She said 2 years, not impossible. In fact Icelandic is difficult, 2 years is probably a bare minimum. It's only common sense to know the language of the country u move to.
It's not racist. Imagine you had an emergency at the hospital and nobody spoke English then in England in the hospital. That is the requirement for many jobs were you work with people. If it's like a IT job or something else. They most often let people in who speak English only.
