A used beoplay m5 costs $350. A used beosound a1 costs $1,000. What's better? Buy 3 m5 speakers or one a1?
That's an impossible question to answer because I don't know enough about you or the way you intend to use it (all) or how you live or what your tastes are. sorry.

To be honest I’ve not heard the M5, it is getting harder with store closures, 2 out of 3 in the last few years the most recent this November but absolutely love my BeoSound 1, it’s a thing of beauty and craftsmanship, a showcase product and the battery never ending.
A little off topic but I’m thinking of replacing the BeoSound 1 with the BeoSound 35 in the bedroom and moving the BS1 to another room and just wondering how you think the two compare and if you think it’s a worthwhile upgrade? Not really interested in the stage at this time because I prefer the look of the BS35!

That depends on where you hang it a bit, the BS35 certainly looks lovely but to my it's slightly underwhelming. It's not bad or anything like that, but I would say a Beoplay A9 is much better. I'll get to both at some point for videos though! Thanks for watching and commenting :D
It’s sad but I already have the A9 in the kitchen/dining area and it’s awesome, one of the best speakers they ever made it really should have been made of aluminium and BeoSound placed in front of the name and a few thousand added to it but it’s a bargain of a speaker... guess I just like to have different products plus would like to wall mount, purchased the BeoSound 35 now (need to stop impulse buying) wonder if you can set it to the BeoTime to start playing in the morning 🤔
I think you can as it's more or less from the same era. for a bedroom it's probably fine though so no worries. it'll still look wonderful :D
M5 heeft een warmere klank de B1 geeft meer vocale rust naar mijn mening. Ik heb ze in het echt mogen beluisteren. M5 is met laag en midden sterk aanwezig.
BS1 is meer klassiek B&O imho.
How can we hear it? Sound is coming through microphone, AD and then through my audio output. No sense in this video.
If you use decent headphones you can tell the difference and my mic is very good and the YT compression isn't too bad, furthermore they are all recorded with the same mic and cam and at the same settings.
Which one sounded best to u?
they both sound very good, but they sound better for different music. So it depends what you listen to most and the answer will change, but for the price the M5 is amazing!
So m5 suits which music? For classical music which one is better? For hit hop?
No obvious difference in sound.. The appearance and features of the Beosound 1 are more desirable and more familiar
totally valid, they are really lovely :D
Which have More and deeper Bass?
Iam not sure what you're asking, do you just want there to be bass regardless of weather or not the music calls for it? As in accuracy doesn't matter so much?
