Hi Matt the reconnection you talked about with the short swing with your wedges I have taken to the course and it is working with all my clubs including driver. Shit 78 this morning par 72 playing off 12 with 4 birdies 3 of them on par 5's. Has straightened out my short irons greatly , probably the best tip I've ever been given that has worked straight away. Thanks again 😃⛳🍻
Hahaha!!! Great intro! I really thought mr. Rogers was going to show up! Bro! I love you! I am a membership on your online site and the way you explain thing are so much easier than anyone I tried listening too. It’s your personality. Very much like mine. Thank you for all you do.
Hey Matt I love the Mr. Rogers beginning😂. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood . Love the video. The swing seems to change fro round to round. Muscle memory and the ability to use the grey matter most important. Luv ya man.
Awesome videos. Definitely will subscribe, great teacher and cool personality. Its hard to watch a video longer than 5 minutes to the end....these will keep you hooked!!! Keep up the good work.
matt! thank you SO much for this awesome video! my golf game has been excellent lately... just hit my longest (and straightest) drive yesterday (280 yards... i just started golfing last summer)... handicap index 9.5... feeling confident and strong on the course... and then, this morning, all of a sudden, all lost most of my feels (except for short game feels, which, thank goodness, are still solid and very comfortable)... it's as though you made this video for me. thanks brother!
Great v-log. A musical analogy ‘I’m playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order’ (Eric Morecambe) This is something to work on 👍
thanks for the video, I miss the chickens! I have chickens, guineas and peacocks on my farm(practice range). your instruction has helped me more than I can say here. thank you, Mark in Walnut Cove, NC
I did this today for about 15 minutes with the 54° before a lesson with my club pro. I can honestly say this helped a lot. The lesson started out with "ok, I promise my drives have been way sh°ttier than this lately". Then we tweaked a couple other things and all is well. Thanks.
wow, working rn and youtube just plays while i do as soon as i heard you say "disconnected" my ears perked up I can have a fantastic session and the next day grab the club suddently i am disconnected and its liek hitting a baseball with a loose grip so i do the wind unwind drill until i get it all back together your videos are amazing thank you so much
Matt the drill you mentioned about pinching your knees in was one of the first lessons I learned about 20 years ago when the pro had me put the metal rage bucket between my knees. It one of the pieces of the puzzle I will try old School golf
I had a connection epiphany yesterday. In my backswing my left shoulder would start to turn but then it would push my right arm away from my chest. My elbow would fly out and all kinds of mishits would happen. So I started pressing my right arm to armpit/chest and kept it there. Now I turn instead of swaying and my irons get that punch sound. So happy.
This is the perfect video for me at this moment in my game. I broke 80 (+6) last week and I’ve proceeded to fall apart since. Sporadic shanks on approach shots. These drills should help get my consistency back
Wow, finally coming out girls & boys, really are you watching this, someone with enough gonads to go the extra mile . . Now will see his true value off sharing . . did someone teach you all this or did you learn it yourself and I need to tell you this once and for all as I can not hold it in any more . . . thank you for your dedication!
I followed the drill and hit the first 45 shots with a swing for a 30 yard shot with a full finish. The consistency was great. Than I went from my 50 degree wedge to a 7 iron and full swing with incredible results and distance. My hybrid was also much more consistent. Great Drill
I've enjoyed this video the most i don't what it is, yes I do, the tips were bloody great, seems like you came out with that James Dean persona in the video, mysterious and aloof, I love it . . .
Great video I played today I am currently a 12 handicap and shot 81 on a par 72 course. I tried your tips as my chipping is the weakest part of my game and it helped a lot in my back garden. Playing tomorrow so let's see how it goes 😊
Great video. I’m having a problem with over drawing with irons and also huge draws with my driver. My arms are starting the downswing and not my lower body so they are racing ahead. Great drill to sync it all back up.
Im going to add this drill and see if i can get consistent cos yesterday i went hit large bucket at driving range using your left hand turning the screw technique and i was hitting longer than where i normally hit to😃👍👍. Thank you MSG for so many great drills and tips for us to get better and improve our game. More fairways/greens == More Fun and hopefully, most golfers will agree here 😃😂👍👍👍
Having just read Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons, I think the hip feeling you have mentioned will help greatly to prevent over rotation on the hips which is something I suffer from 👍👏
😂😂 Great opening! Man, I have felt disconnected the past two weeks with just my irons, and started hitting a shank. It's making me crazy because everything else is working pretty well. I have worked on all kind of stuff to fix it, so much so that I even changed my swing, and now my back and right forearm hurts! So really needed this!
Such good videos. Thanks At the end when you hit all those drives, your club face was a bit open at contact. Close this to neutral or negative and you will make more square contact that is a bit more in the center of your club face. With this, you will achieve a few more yards with a baby draw and you will use a shorter ckub coming into the green. Voila ... like they say in France !! :)
Great Video Matt, my instructor was noticing my 🏌🏿 and we did something similar especially with my hip action, we did a drill concentration on left hip. I'm a right hand player. Looking forward to next Saving Par video. Also MR. MATT where's the Sweater 😁😁
sync issues for me are usually my lower body out racing my upper. My best solutions to this are to feel like my lead side ear is on the back of the ball and then feeling like I transfer my energy into the ground instead of rotating immediately.
Mr. Shortgame, I’ve been watching your channel recently. I played golf when I was a kid and as a 10-13 year old when I was going to a golf camp I developed enough of a swing where at that age I could shoot low 40’s high 30’s when playing 9, but I’ve never broke 90. Seems we’ve both recently moved to GA, and oddly enough, I moved into a neighborhood that it made since that we join the country club. I’m currently working but that could change soon and I’m going to have some time on my hands. I genuinely like your approach from what I’ve watched and would love some in person lessons too. How can I get in touch?
Hello Mr S.G. just an Idea for a video. Since you have that fancy indoor driving range set up. Could you compare a well worn Driver to a brand new driver. I hit a lot of balls at the range and I have wondered if i was damaging my 400 hundred dollar driver by hitting so many range balls or was i just breaking it in. I Like your golf show keep it up .
Omg.. The Mr. Rogers intro is epic! 😝
I'm not one to subscribe to a lot of channels, but the intro to this video earned it.

The last time I shat 78 I had to go to hospital
That Mr. Rogers opening was gold man! Class act!
I absolutely love your Mr Rogers intro, love watching your stuff. Keep up the good work!

Hey Matt I love the Mr. Rogers beginning😂. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood . Love the video. The swing seems to change fro round to round. Muscle memory and the ability to use the grey matter most important. Luv ya man.

Loved the nod to Mr Rogers. It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood to go golf!

Just put my daughter down turned this video on and went straight from classical music from her mobile to classic music golf. Ah. Relaxing. Nice Matt.
I'll give it a try thanks...big thumbs up.
You crack me up man. Hit like as soon as I got the Rogers reference.
Really great learning- thanks for sharing
This drill has really helped me straighten my wood hit out. Thank you for this tip.

That's exactly how I felt yesterday, just wish I had seen this video before I played. Down to the range tomorrow I guess. Thanks Matt.

Love the Mr. Rogers look.
Mr.Shortgame needs a sweater! I feel the connection!

You just made my day with the intro🤣🤣🤣!!

love the " Mr. Rogers" parody lol!
Love the artsy intros! Would love a video on driving range routines!! Wedges then Irons to driver?
Its almost comical how well this drill worked for me. Thanks Matt!
classic intro SGN !!!
Thanks Matt , this happened to me yesterday and I went back to chipping in my back yard to fix it. This really does work.
I followed the drill and hit the first 45 shots with a swing for a 30 yard shot with a full finish. The consistency was great. Than I went from my 50 degree wedge to a 7 iron and full swing with incredible results and distance. My hybrid was also much more consistent. Great Drill
Like a great Swiss Watch. Great lesson!
Love your version of the Mr.Rogers intro.
Awesome Video.
I've enjoyed this video the most i don't what it is, yes I do, the tips were bloody great, seems like you came out with that James Dean persona in the video, mysterious and aloof, I love it . . .
I love the mr rogers type intro
Appreciated the (not-so) subtle nod to Mr. Rogers. :)
Thanks for the tip

Awesome stuff as usual bro. If U ever get down to North Florida I'd love a lesson from u.

Good information. I'll try it when it stops raining....And from the radar its headed your way next.
Yup totally the opening Golf equal to Mr.Rogers neighborhood, the intro music imitated it so well without risking any copyright infringement
Best instruction out there for the average golfer.. sponsors get in... he’s about to go big...
The Mr Rodgers of golf lol enjoyed the vid Matt thanks
Hey, its Mr. Rogers.
When this video started, I thought that I was watching a rerun of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
Hahaha me to!!
Me too!
...just need the sweater.
Just needed a head cover puppet too 😂
Welcome to the show Captain Obvi
Great one thank you 🙏
Needed this drill I was hitting driver all over the place yesterday
Love that your using the indoor set up, but may need to get a projector and GC quad to show live shots:)
Such good videos. Thanks

Was that a little Mr Rogers nod in your intro? Won't you be my pupil? Haha
sync issues for me are usually my lower body out racing my upper. My best solutions to this are to feel like my lead side ear is on the back of the ball and then feeling like I transfer my energy into the ground instead of rotating immediately.
The best coach!
Which shaft are you using in the wedge featured in this video?
Who taught you these moves or did you learn them yourself . . they have help me with my confidence . .thank you my brother.
Hows the wedges with the graphite shafts??
Mr. Shortgame,
I’ve been watching your channel recently. The beginning reminds me of Mr. Rogers hahahahah
What glove do you use?
I'm guessing that someone didn't get their Xpresso today. Love the videos, will try "opposite day" today!

OK...we're going to do like a thousand of those...LOL, im starting today so i can be ready for spring!
I liked the mister Rodgers intro
The beginning Reminds me of Mr.Rogers neighborhood lol
Can you do a review of the down under board?
Do you let your hands sort of unwind on the downswing?
Mr Rodgers 😅😅! Mr. Short Game😂!
So, do any of those putters leaning against the wall work, or are they all on a "time out"?
Mr. Short Game's Neighborhood. All that is missing is McNeely the mailman delivering a golf package.
What is your simulator system?
You have me feeling I can have a repetitive golf swing. It’s better than watching the pros play the game. You keep me concerned with my game.
What equipment is your indoor range setup?
It’s gotta be the shoes!
Where is that screen from?
Ok the beginning was a little odd, but I get where you were going with it.
N’sync swing made my golf balls go ‘ bye bye bye’ 😂
