Real techniques have always been a brand I've stood by. They're affordable and good quality. I still have some from a few years ago. I have a spray from boots for my brushes, but that soap pot seems really great. Please can you do a gifting suggestions video (I've some birthdays coming up 😅)
After I finish cleaning my brushes, I make sure that I squeeze out as much of the water from the bristles. Then I’ll put a bristle guard on the brushes and lay them down on a towel with the handle slightly elevated. The brushes holds its shape so much longer, even the cheaper ones. Thanks Soph for a great video! 💕
To help keep my brushes cleaner for longer, I give my brushes a quick clean after every use. I use a brush cleaner spray, a micro fibre towel and give my brush a spray wipe it, on the towel and put it away. I find this really helps to avoid any buildup, particularly with cream products.
I bought a brush from Poundland. I find the fact that it's quite large but not too dense. Which I find applies my eyeshadow well. I have got a various brushes at a variety of prices but find this the best. I think it cost me about £2.50.
I need some brands that are affordable because rn I have mermaid brushes which I love but I also want some other makeup brushes. Also what’s ur tips for washing brushes beauty blenders or in general makeup tools? I love your vids so much xx
This video was so helpful Soph!!! I’ve been watching your videos for years and it’s always so nice learning new tips and how to improve my makeup!!! 😄💗
Sophie, this is so helpful as I’m new to using brushes! Thank you! Would you ever do a video explaining the use for different products? For instance, I’m a complete novice about primer and serums, etc!
my problem with brushes is how expensive individual brushes are! especially as someone who’s not the greatest i find the makeup brush sets pointless because they always have 1 or 2 brushes you’ll never use. i wish i could just pick and choose my own set of brushes but for cheaper in a set than individually
Thank you. I’m a beginner at makeup and everything is so overwhelming, but I feel a lot has cleared up for me regarding makeup tools after watching your video.
I would run to a Soph brush collab!! I have never been great with makeup, but so far everything you've recommended that I've bought has made my life easier. Oh and I live in my G&G x Soph and James sweats!
The brushes I use the most are my Anissa concealer brush and mini pinnacle foundation brush that I actually use for powder because it’s so densely packed. I use the elf putty brush for any cream bronzer and blush and it works like a charm! I’ve washed them all several times with no issue. I usually use an angled concealer brush that mimics my finger is what I love most for concealer. I also use the Anissa all over powder brush for finishing powder to blend all my makeup up together
I swear by peaches and cream!! I bought a set of 10 (pick n mix) in October and I don't remember how I lived without them hahah the pc02 is amazing for stick foundation and pc21 is honestly good for everything haha
This is amazing timing. I’m in the market for new brushes but have no clue where to start. I used to use paint brushes until my mum caught on and got me some bh cosmetics ones.
Beauty bay, RT and coco by Chloe for beauty blender are all amazing like Soph suggests🥰 I used to think the Chloe sponge was a gimmick but I’ve literally had like 6 marshmallow ones, 2 normal ones and 4 mini and the two bigger ones are amazing I don’t even wet them they’re so soft! Xx
I have loved Sonia Kashuk brushes (from Target!). She puts out such nice sets. I also love the original pink/purple E.l.f. sponge. :) I would be SO thrilled if you came out with a brush set! I was also excited to see the return of your Super Spice Palette. I collect your collabs but I still can’t track down your lipsticks or lip kits….Wishing and hoping for more collabs in the future.
Some of my favourite brushes are from an Irish brand called Nima Brush. The Kabuki Queens are great for foundation and cream products I find. Also a gorgeous green colour which I know doesn't actually affect the makeup....but still!
I recommend washing the tools with soap once every 15 days and once every month spraying them with etilic alcohol (or whichever alcohol you find easier) at 70°. A cosmetologist recommended me this kind of alcohol to sanitize makeup tools.
Hi Soph, iv just clicked on....my fave brushes are bk beauty. Im on a mission with brushes at the minute i dont no why. I loved morphe but all my faves are discontinued so im trying bk beauty. So far LOVE.
I WISH I could use a brush for foundation like it looks so satisfying but I just can’t😂 beauty blender even for tinted moisturiser! I love the coco by Chloe ones you actually got me into them! And beauty bay and RT brushes are chefs kiss! I think the iso clean is great for people that need a quick clean but I just don’t find it cleans my brushes well and it scares me the amount of alcohol that goes on the brush and then on my face!😭
So I try not to get the ferrule and handle wet when washing my brushes and I've never had a problem with them. I own alot of morphe brushes as well. You should try Anisa Beauty brushes. They are fantastic! My favorite brushes I own. ❤😊 xoxo from chicago
I got two brushes from shein for around a pound and they changed my makeup game. Less under creases and less cakey and so fast easy. Never like brushes until these
I used to buy expensive blushes. But now I just stick to cheap TikTok ones which we’ll just as well!! 😊 I realised growing up it doesn’t matter about the brands it about what works well for you xx
I LOVE my marshmallow sponge which I bought thanks to you :) I also love my Made by Mitchell brushes, I have some eye brushes and a highlighter brush called the MF6 I think? It's incredible! I also use my Beauty Bay brushes constantly and Real Techniques have never let me down!
I’ve had many morphe brushes and I’ve never had any of them peel like yours. I’ve rarely had shedding on my brushes too, the worse was one brush that the handle fell off and I glued it back together and it’s still going strong lol. Maybe try drying the handles of the brushes more when washing? I loved seing your recs btw!
Hi,Sophie! There is a dupe for the Morphe Vegan Pro brushes from Jessup Beauty. I have both sets that are dupes for the Makeup by Ariel( also I have the Morphe x Ariel brush set the face and eyes set) and the Morphe Vegan Pro and I'm happy with them.
Also, something I recently thought about the whole “using the pipet to apply to your face” thing. If you’ve just cleansed your face and hands, aren’t they both just as clean? So what does it matter, as long as you can control how much product comes out
Hi Soph! I saw MadebyMitchell has a set now of 16 brushes for about 30 pounds. Looks intriguing but I was wondering if it’s the same quality as his usual ones given the price difference. Would you try it?
Im looking to buy new makeup brushes and instead of buying them separate I´d like to by a set. What brand would you recommend for that? I only use creme/liquid makeup so preferably brushes that work with that.
Hi Soph! I don’t do much makeup but love watching your videos, you’re so much fun to watch 💜

A Soph personalised brush set? That's a good idea! 😌😉
After I finish cleaning my brushes, I make sure that I squeeze out as much of the water from the bristles. Then I’ll put a bristle guard on the brushes and lay them down on a towel with the handle slightly elevated. The brushes holds its shape so much longer, even the cheaper ones.

Soph, your skin is glowing - looking so good ✨
I bought a brush from Poundland. I find the fact that it's quite large but not too dense. Which I find applies my eyeshadow well. I have got a various brushes at a variety of prices but find this the best. I think it cost me about £2.50.
I brought 3 poundland brushes & use them all the time,I also got a cheap set from Amazon & they are some of my favourites too
I love that!! 👏🏼
All my brushes are from poundland and for me most of them do the job and do it well
I need some brands that are affordable because rn I have mermaid brushes which I love but I also want some other makeup brushes. Also what’s ur tips for washing brushes beauty blenders or in general makeup tools? I love your vids so much xx
I bought a kabuki brush when I was 18 still have it at 33.
Omg yes!! I've been wanting this video for soooo long 😁😁 thankyou!! I love the eyeshadow bit as that's the bit I struggle with most.
I just got 15 new brushes and i went to ur video because your the best one ❤
This video was so helpful Soph!!! I’ve been watching your videos for years and it’s always so nice learning new tips and how to improve my makeup!!! 😄💗
Sophie, this is so helpful as I’m new to using brushes! Thank you! Would you ever do a video explaining the use for different products? For instance, I’m a complete novice about primer and serums, etc!
The elf nose contour brush is a great morphe brush alternative xx
I love the Niré brush sets. They are so nice and really gives you everything for a full face
I still refer to this video for makeup tools! Appreciate you so much Soph 🥰
You should make a video doing potential bridal makeup looks for your wedding 😍😍
I needed this!! Trying to add a few must have’s to my collection
RoseandBen beauty makeup brushes are my absolute FAVORITE brushes. Theyre (in my opinion) the best brushes on the market!
I really love your videos soph!! keep at it!!
Please pin me! It would make my day!
This made me go through my makeup brushes and re-organise them! ❤
my problem with brushes is how expensive individual brushes are! especially as someone who’s not the greatest i find the makeup brush sets pointless because they always have 1 or 2 brushes you’ll never use. i wish i could just pick and choose my own set of brushes but for cheaper in a set than individually
Yess 32 minutes of Soph 🥰🥰
I really like the makeup look. It looks so sweet!! 🩵
It would be amazing if these brands did customizable brush sets so you can choose what you want in the set
I’ve been watching your videos for years and I’m finally watching one on the same day 😂❤
I've been waiting for this! Love your videos Soph
Thank you. I’m a beginner at makeup and everything is so overwhelming, but I feel a lot has cleared up for me regarding makeup tools after watching your video.
I'd be super intrigued to see you try some other brands like sigma and compare!
Yay, finally someone talks about brushes! I never know which is what or what is which 😂! Thank you! ❤
Dip into brush, I mean blush! 😂 so fun! As a new maker user, your Chanel is so fun, relatable, informative. Thank you!! 😊
I’ve been waiting for a makeup tools video. I love the brushes you use and am always so curious about them.
I would run to a Soph brush collab!! I have never been great with makeup, but so far everything you've recommended that I've bought has made my life easier. Oh and I live in my G&G x Soph and James sweats!
How nice of youtube to recommend this to me to rewatch - time to clean my brushes! :D
Ahh Sophie yess I remember your old videos with your zoeva brushes!! Much memories❤.
Been wanting a video on this for ages ❤❤
The whole look gives prima ballerina! It’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing your favorites. I need a few brushes
I loveee the peaches and cream brushes! They can be more expensive but they always have offers on 🥰
Another Makeup Brushes Video so much! Plus the stipple brush is so amazing
hello soph!! thank you for saving my day
The brushes I use the most are my Anissa concealer brush and mini pinnacle foundation brush that I actually use for powder because it’s so densely packed. Brushes are my obsession so this video will definitely be a good one🤩
I swear by peaches and cream!! I bought a set of 10 (pick n mix) in October and I don't remember how I lived without them hahah the pc02 is amazing for stick foundation and pc21 is honestly good for everything haha
I've also been using morphe eyeshadow brushes from the james charles collection for yeears and they're amazing
YESSS THE VIDEO I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED but I absolutely did
Oh my gosh yay ! I’ve been waiting for this 😊
This is amazing timing. I’m in the market for new brushes but have no clue where to start. I used to use paint brushes until my mum caught on and got me some bh cosmetics ones.

One of the lip kits looks to still be available on the revolution website and is on sale at the moment, if that helps at all!!
What do you use to film on? Your quality is so good! ❤
Some of my favourite brushes are from an Irish brand called Nima Brush. The Kabuki Queens are great for foundation and cream products I find. Also a gorgeous green colour which I know doesn't actually affect the makeup....but still!
Thank you for motivating me to clean my brushes 😅
The Rephr brushes are great! And they’re actually not as expensive as you would expect. They also do a great eyelash curler!
I love your sweatshirt!
Omg I clicked so fastttt looooove you honey ❤❤❤❤❤
the video I needed rn 😍
I recommend washing the tools with soap once every 15 days and once every month spraying them with etilic alcohol (or whichever alcohol you find easier) at 70°. A cosmetologist recommended me this kind of alcohol to sanitize makeup tools.
I'm certain you will make anything you try great. You're really know your thing✌️
I own at least 75+ brushes. BK Beauty is by far my favorite brushes. You should definitely try them.
Love your videos so so much i took notes from this one!!! Thank you for uploading!!!

The Spectrum sponges are actually my favourite!
Lunar Beauty brushes are great!
I love ducare brushes. They aren't that expensive and they are so beautiful. In my opinion, these brushes have some good quality 👌🏻 ❤

Hi Soph, iv just clicked on....my fave brushes are bk beauty. Im on a mission with brushes at the minute i dont no why. I loved morphe but all my faves are discontinued so im trying bk beauty. So far LOVE.
Marshmallow Sponge STAN!!! 🥹👏🤍
the “brush blush” part had me dying 😂😂
I need a new bronzer brush desperately because mine is shedding worse than my dog so looking forward to your recommendations ❤
The shedding worse than my dog killed me🤣
Looking forward to get this notification ❤️
I just sent my DIL a set of eyeshadow brushes because we "played" with makeup, and she liked my brushes. I will send her this video to watch!!
I love spectrum the best but honourable mention to Nanshy, they are really good quality!
i NEEDED this video 😍🙌
Brush blush struggles are really giving "spoon and fork" lady vibes I love it! It's a hard phrase!
I would absolutely love to buy a collab with your brushes! I end up buying all the brushes you're frequently using in your videos anyway :))
Soph, how do you get your hair so sleek?! A video on what you do with your hair would be great 🥰
Awesome video! Thanks!
So my favorite makeup brushes are from Mon Reve! Really soft and easy to use
Yes for a Soph set of brushes... Spectrum!!
This was helpfull and entertaining such great video content like always 😊 hope your doing well 💜
I really like Sigma brushes. They are more expensive that a lot of other brushes, but they are good
I love it 😂 "dip it in brush" , when we all use those words and jumble it up
ISO clean spray is so easy. Def recommend xx
Thanks for the important info. What is your opinion on BK beauty brushes?
EXCELLENT VIDEO IDEA 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love your videos so much! Can you recommend a set of brushes to ask for for my birthday? 🙏🏼 and please share which Taylor Swift vinyls you have! 😊
This may seem like a silly question but which brushes in your collection have the name of what they do on them?
I love using a small real techniques contour brush for my concealer because it is so dense and the same size as a finger
I recommend Rose and Ben beauty brushes. I got it as a gift otherwise I’d never pay that much but def great brushes
Which brush did you use for cream bronzer ? I need a good brush for thattt xx
Im looking to buy new makeup brushes and instead of buying them separate I´d like to by a set. What brand would you recommend for that? I only use creme/liquid makeup so preferably brushes that work with that.
* Waiting for that Soph's perfect brush set now *
The Morphe brush is it the V100 on the website?
I really appreciate how you don’t use face filters so you can’t tell the difference with your make up on or off lol
I have brushes from MAC that are 26 years old and are still in great shape! Yes, I’m old! Lol!
