Me NAILING a Sunshine Speedrun Trick. I'm proud of myself :')

Footage of me practicing a way to skip almost the whole mission in Pianta Village Episode 3. In this mission, you don't have FLUDD, so you can't spray water to get rid of the fire goop. However, Mario will be wet for a bit after being in the river, allowing you to carve out some goop that's right next to a water source. This speedrun trick takes advantage of the obscure "mario being wet and a bit of water drips off him" mechanic.

Im not into mario sunshine speedruns so my only question is if the burning butt was a part of the technique

I'm not really into Mario Sunshine speedruns either, UNTIL a few days ago when I got hooked on the game. My goal is just to get fast enough to beat the game in one sitting.
Anyways, butt burns are only a good technique in Mario 64, where Mario goes flying much higher. In Sunshine you just get locked into death most of the time lol.
