    I've been using this for a while now. I liked the self leveling with no bank restriction. Only wish that gain could be adjusted.

      @GroundControlRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, great little Gyro.
      I have a couple more on order.
      Having a gain adjustment would definitely be a plus.
      I'll have to see if they have another version that has gain adjustment.
      The gains on mine seemed to be spot on though as when flying in Safe Mode during turns the gyro didn't fight me at all and the turns where nice an smooth.
      I recently tested a different gyro, no gain adjustment, on my T-33 EDF Jet and it was constantly fighting me in the turns in Safe Mode.
      They had the gains to set too high.

    The stabiliser’s have arrived this morning, you mentioned there small but until you have them in your hands it’s hard to visualise they are tiny and will fit the smallest models including the mini warbirds if you choose to convert them to brushless at least that would be my guess. I’m going to mount on foam and very thin plywood base and that will allow easy relocation between models furthermore the stabiliser can be fitted either upright or upside down I believe meaning even greater flexibility. This little thing is a game changer in my view. Best wishes Michael in the U.K.

    Instructions say to do this. Do you have to do it every time? Therefore, it is recommended to install the battery first, then place the aircraft on the ground, and then power on the aircraft and put the aircraft still on the ground until DEE sounds from the motor heard. When the green LED is always on means self-test is done.

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      With a Gyro, you need to have the plane in the proper position in order for the Gyro to initialize properly. So, I have mine in the proper position every time I power it up.

      Yes it does have some cool modes.

    This reminds me of my Xk VTOL aircraft. They take far wider turns than I prefer. Fortunately they are twins with differential thrust so I can tighten the turns with rudder input. I guess with this one all you can do is throttle back and feed in more elevator.
    The stability looks like it would make it a better camera platform. Can you fit a Go-Pro in there?
    Happy flying!

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, wide turns with Bank-n-Yank Planes but it has unrestricted Rudder, so in a 4CH Plane the turns will be very tight.
      I'll have to put it in my P51D 750mm or another 4CH Plane to demonstrate.
      Awesome Gyro and very inexpensive.
      No Go-Pro, that's out of my price range ;-)

      I have several of my OpenTX Model Files available for download that have all the programming for the Byme-A Gyro.
      If you search our Facebook Page for "My OpenTX Model File - RadioLink A560 Trainer 3D Plane w/Byme-A Gyro V2 RTF" that post should come to the top.
      There is a link in that post for the OpenTX Model File for the Radiolink A560 3D Plane that has all the programming for the Byme-A Gyro.
      You can import that and duplicate the Gyro Programming.

  • @richarddorsch7275

    I have the A560 and it is confusing. The manual shows the 2nd mode to be gyro mode which assists to balance the plane but does not self level. Then the 3rd mode on the 3 way switch is full manual. Does this sound right?

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Congratulations on getting the A560! Awesome plane!
      Yes, that sounds right.
      The 2nd Mode (Gyro Mode) doesn't restrict the Pitch or Roll Axis and it doesn't Self-Level but it does correct for Wind.
      I often refer to that Mode as Wind Mitigation Mode.

  • @mathewwebb522
    @mathewwebb522 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great review mate. Seems to work well. Had a feeling it wouldn't self stabilise in intermediate mode. Haven't come across a gyro that does that yet. I do like that its plug and play though. Keep them great vids coming.

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mathew and thank you!
      Yeah, the more I thought about self-leveling in intermediate mode the less it made sense.
      I'm glad that turned out to be a misprint.
      I'm going to try and put this in a 4CH Plane so I can see how tight you can make the turns in safe mode.

      The nice thing about the hobby eagle gyro a3super I've been using is you can adjust on the pc how much you want the pitch limited on safe mode. I know you're receiving the pro version so unsure if you can with that one. I've ordered the lemon rx plus reciever/gyro as my Xmas gift. Your terminology is wrong. The 1st mode is ‘stabilized’ mode not safe mode and the 2nd mode is ‘gyro mode’ not acrobat mode and the 3rd mode is full manual.

    • @GroundControlRC

      Yes, they are different terms that mean the same thing.

    Hi GC need your advise about using Byme-A. Im thinking about installing it in the Eachine F18 50mm edf i just got. Was able to maiden it just fine its actually faster than the F16 on 3s ( seems less "draggy"). But it seems a bit tricky on launch, i think it would benefit from a little self leveling on launch. Plus that lately my latest flying field is almost always a bit windy even on early moring hours. Fuselage space is a bit tight thats why im thinking Byme-A, what do you think? Thanks

    • @GroundControlRC

      Hi Rodin!
      Well, aren't you lucky!
      The Eachine F18 huh!
      Hehehe...I was hoping for one of those ;-)
      I think the Byme-A should work fine.
      I've tested it in the Eachine Micro Skyhunter, the Eachine Flying Fish, and the Volantex Ranger G2.
      It has worked well in all (3) of those planes so I think it should work fine in the F18 EDF.
      I'm going to put one in my Eachine F16 EDF that I converted to a Pusher as it's hard to launch by the wingtip.
      It should get it in the air safely anyway.
