I used a dishpan in a cubby under the table top but I washed everyday. I had a bin filled with diapers ready to go on top. Never really needed a sprayer. Never used a special detergent. I stripped the diapers when it was time but I’m not against bleach. I ran every load 3 times. Once with detergents that I made and twice with just water. Her pee as heavy enough to just hold the diaper upside down and the inserts would fall right out but she was older at that point. I only had a mini apartment washer and no dryer. I used cheap $3-4 covers but I did get some bum genius for free and I converted them to snaps. I like the cheap ones just fine and I like the fact that they’re decorative. I had a sentimental attachment to each design after a while. I tried to use liners I found it to be more of a hassle. I feel everyone’s system is going to be so personal. I remember using fleece covers for night time in case she needed even more absorbency. I used different kinds of inserts for different situations. I used reusable wipes and just used lemon or some kind of citrus essential oil in the water.

What great memories of cloth diapering!! It's definitely a special and nostalgic part of the parenthood journey!
I am getting bamboo liners to use to dispose of instead of rinsing the diaper off after a poop!
That's a great idea!
