Hi Jean! Company purchased goods for sale: Upon receipt (or depending on freight terms)- Inventory Upon sale of inventory- cost of sales. Hope it helps.
Hello Samantha, depende. If the business is merchandising, hindi na sinasama yan sa computation ng COGS. COGS in merchandising is equal to TGAS less ending inventory. Just use yung formula na yun. If the business is manufacturing, maaring may maisama na accounts jan for COGS computation. yung manufacturing related costs like utilities expense, repairs expense, factory supplies expense can be part of COGS for manufacturing.
