I was in South America for 6 months in 2011. I first visited my x-coworker/merchandiser who as a Japanese-peruvian moved down there to open his own coffee shop in pretty Miraflores, near the beach. Cusco /Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes were fantastic and otherwordly. I stayed for several days right there in Aguas Calientes, climbing the stairs, slow traveling and am happy I did. I made my own travel plans even though they make it sound so difficult, it wasn't. Although I got stomach problems the first days in Cusco and each country, but Miraflores was fine. Downtown Lima was interesting, and people I met were sociable and invited me out. Than I got on a double decker (watch out for wild drivers) and went on to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. I even got my first ESL teaching job in Buenos Aires when I partnered up with a British couple I met. As soon as I got to Chile I felt like I was back in California. Have a great trip.

We was frequent flyers on KLM to Asia, but that was 15+ years ago. Love to see if they changed the theme design since then. One thing is KLM staff, they are the most friendly, welcoming and helpful out of all the airlines we have flown long haul
I have passed through Schiphol many times, but was completely unaware there is a museum in the airport. How have I missed that? The cabin interior and food looked excellent, however I am not a fan of the old seat layout. Imagine waking up in the night needing the bathroom and having to wake up a complete stranger. Not ideal. Some excellent mountain views over the Andes. Being so foggy, I can imagine Lima must have been a challenging place to land before ATC and radar were introduced. Looking forward to your next review.👍👍
Not all lounges have access, I think. At least I couldn’t visit it in 2017. They’ve have sectioned the waiting area, unfortunately. Maybe they have changed it, because a lot was under construction back then.
It should be a little disappointed when there are 2-2-2- configurations. I am impress about the utensils, way more beautiful than expected, and unique. Food seems very good indeed. Finally next week can enjoy Peru series, cannot wait for it, thank you expert..
As a Barbadian I must say all written about Barbados was spot on accurate. To add English traditions, Afternoon Tea and Polo are still quite popular. Absolutely breath taking views on your approach to Peru. Anxiously awaiting the next video. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing flight video as always, loved every bit of it. Totally agree, KLM is a great airline- and the 777 is clearly a workhorse covering such a long flight.
Oh, those KLM Asia planes are still around, they used to fly to Taiwan. I flew in a KLM 772 to Rio last year , and it was the same old business class, still very comfy if you are traveling together, and the food was also very nice.
I'm surprised you didn't visit the lounge on this trip 😅 The KLM 777s are in desperate need of a up-to-date retrofit The approach into misty Lima is awesome 👍
I love KLM. I flew their 787 from LA to Amsterdam and 737 from Amsterdam to Nice this summer and look forward to flying them back to Amsterdam next year.

What a beautiful day for flying especially with background music as nice as you had. My only concern was the food service, it just isn't what it used to be and how sad! Thanks for sharing your trip! Take care!
Unfortunately, the business class product on KLM's Boeing 777 is starting to feel outdated and could use a refresh. However, the service remains exceptional as always.
By the end of this year, KLM will have installed a new Business Class (suites with privacy doors) on all of its 777s. I’ll soon publish a video of the new product 😉
All B777-300’s have been refurbished and have a new Business Class cabin and Premium Comfort cabin. Just a few 777-200’s to go. Sadly, the A330’s won’t get the new cabins. The A350 will be added in a couple of years.

Amazing video as usual. KLM Business class on the 777 is better than but quite similar to the Lufthansa outdated Business class product. Hopefully they also do an upgrade on these as Lufthansa is in the process of doing.

Great flight. It's great to see the KLM ASIA Livery still here, even though this flight going to South America. Can't imagine how cramped it is on small section of Business Class Cabin, only a row with 2-2-2 seating configuration.
Simple question: At the very end of this video, you showed a brief "coming attraction" clip with you hiking in Peru. When you plan to engage in some hiking, do you normally haul along some heavy hiking boots (which naturally will add some more weight to your no doubt already overloaded suitcase) or can one simply use standard walking shoes for needed foot support while walking on what looks like uneven terrain?? Currently we are more than 33 million inhabitants, The good things about my country are the natural landscapes, culture and gastronomy. The bad thing is that we are contaminated with political corruption, extortion and hitmen throughout the country, they will kill you for 20 soles. That is why it is best to leave the country in search of peace and tranquility, whether in Europe or the United States. Hope you had a great time in Peru

I do this Route very often since 2008. The service, customer orientation and good is getting worst and worst . I started with air eruropa and it’s far better in all senses . The demotivating flight attendants from Klm and stinginess is so unpleasant and it’s getting worst !

Travel experience was awesome .. delightful to fly . Flight attendants were very friendly with us.

Last june i fly to bonaire in KLM’s business class in the A330. The seats are really small but the service are good. Great flight review as always!
