At 78, I don't camp alone much anymore, but I do camp in spring and fall. I once would do 2 day trips due to work, traveling one nighters if on vacation, but now I won't make the effort unless its for a week or longer. It seems like more work and less leisure now due to being slower, but cooking on a fire, whether breakfast, beef stew or a steak, is the highlight of every trip along with sleeping with rain, waves, or the ripple of a stream. I am amazed at how many retired people sit at home and wait... Many never leave the city or state they were born in.

Hi Jeremy. Greetings from Melbourne Australia. Over some time I have watched almost all your videos. Really learnt a lot from them. I do have a suggestion with the sawing the wood on top of the log. I find that cutting in a little v groove into the smooth log helps to hold the sticks in place a lot easier and requires less effort to hold the stick so that it does not slip. Keep up the great content..
LOL,Boomer didn’t eat the wrap,but he took the chicken..so cute! Montreal steak spice is so good on chicken….I put it on chicken wings,bake in oven ,take out and squeeze fresh lemon on them,SO DAMN GOOD!! Nice seeing you out having a “ Cold One”!!!🍺CHEERS,Jeremy! 💞 Jana
For clothing gear Arcteryx, helly hansen, north face, marmot, black diamond for me. Can't cheap out on thermals and outter wear in my opinion need to stay comfy. Stuff takes a while to collect, it never ends collecting gear.
That is a meal fit for a king, or at least a king camping! However, a German camper has to have a potato, so would need a foil wrapped potato in the fire, but could love it as is... 🤔I suspect that a camping breakfasts or any meal tastes so much better because of the ambiance and because exercise makes you hungrier...
