I noticed the other day when we were over on Line Avenue that the Sonic there has closed! Never thought I'd see a Sonic that closed. There are plenty of Sonics around though, so I am sure you got your Sonic fixed. Big Daddy reminds me of my husband when he said something about "if that's what you want to do". :) Kayla, you look so much better. I know it is from having relief from the pain. I am so thankful all was a positive outcome! We pray for you every time we pray. I have been specifically praying about the pump situation. Thank You, Jesus, for touching our friend Kayla.
So happy you had a positive experience (except for the itching)! Itching can drive a person mad. When I was 14, I once had poison sumac in my eye and ear. Let me tell you I wanted to scratch my eye out and shove a wire brush into my ear canal. Much worse than when I had chickenpox as a kid. I guess the massive dose was to really bring out any possible side effect while you were still in hospital. Having the pump be on a slow drip will definitely be a much better controlled, less likely to itch. Though I’d definitely keep the antihistamines close by. I’m sure it’s going to be monitored quite closely for a while. Have they scheduled a date for the procedure yet? I hope you were able to find a sonic quickly. Do you have their app? There is definitely a locator on it. It doesn’t help after the fact, but it should for the future. It’s understandable why you hadn’t crocheted. Always good to have some with you and not need it than to not have it and really need it. Btw I saw a video posted by amora(I think that’s how she spells it). She made a multi pink hexi cardigan and where the 2 pieces join in the back she made a panel of Barbie heads inside squares. It’s the cutest thing. As I was watching it, I immediately thought of you. I’d have made it for you, but was afraid I’d make it too long in the sleeves or very oversized. I have a tendency to err on the side of too much. But you should definitely check it out. Happy belated birthday to Big Daddy. I’m so happy he was there with you the whole night. True love allows us to endure discomfort to ensure our spouse is receiving necessary treatment. Hi Kayla. I don't know your story, or what leadI up to you getting the pain pump. I was looking for videos of someone doing the trial, and came across your video. 'm so glad the trial went very well for you. I have severe chronic pain. It's been happening since 2009. I will be undergoing my trial in a month. My pain doctor has done everythig for me. The physical therapy, pain meds. But, he said this is the last thing they use. I am understandably nervous. The reason being is that I have 2 harrington rods in my back; from scoliosis surgery. I have flatback syndrome, as a result. I walk bent over, a bit, and it's just getting worse. I had no idea that i'd be sedated for the trial. I was told that i'd get a shot, and that was it! I will not be able to receive morphine, as i'm allergic to it. It's nice to know that i'm not alone in this struggle. I just subscribed to your page, and will be watching for updates. When I've done preop, I've used something on my lips to moisten them, which keeps me from "feeling" thirsty. Dry lips make me feel parched for some reason. I'm SO happy that the shot worked for you!!! Hallelujah!!! God bless sweet big daddy for toughing it out on the chair...

So we both were in hospital having needles in our spines on Thursday? My procedure, which was a scan, was a success and my issue was clearly seen. My next steps are waiting for spine surgery. Hi and when the pump is inserted the morphine dosage is titrated in very small doses,nothing to the dose given in the trial. So the process is tedious. Not everybody is the same ,so I’m hoping you have better results than I did. So sorry for my negativity but six years after dealing with this pump I’m still in pain,' so you can feel my frustration. Ma’am I had my trial done in the doctors office with my clothes on. After an hour to see if it worked I left he made no big deal about it. I am shocked that you’re in the hospital. Mine was positive by the way should be getting my pump in the next month

I see you're wearing your new smile! It sounds like you're getting used to them. About the itching; was it the kind on the inside? I had a surgery and they gave me injections of morphine every 3 hours in alternative hips. I had such huge bruises! And then I developed crazy itching, but not the kind you can scratch. They gave me something for that and then I had these crazy scary dreams and was terrified to go back to sleep. I wouldn't let them give me any more after that. Anyway, I also had terrible pain in my stomach so I have it on my do not take list. I'm super happy to see this went so well for you. Have a safe trip home!
Hi Kayla and Big Daddy. Kayla, you look great/relaxed and sound it too. Glad it seemed to go well. I itch bad with morphine/dilauided also. A heavy dose of benedryl helps some for me. Hopefully once you get the pain pump the doseage you'll need won't cause a lot of itching if any. You have a great man there.

Ma’am I had my trial done in the doctors office with my clothes on. After an hour to see if it worked I left he made no big deal about it. I am shocked that you’re in the hospital. Mine was positive by the way should be getting my pump in the next month

I see you're wearing your new smile! It sounds like you're getting used to them. About the itching; was it the kind on the inside? I had a surgery and they gave me injections of morphine every 3 hours in alternative hips. I had such huge bruises! And then I developed crazy itching, but not the kind you can scratch. They gave me something for that and then I had these crazy scary dreams and was terrified to go back to sleep. I wouldn't let them give me any more after that. Anyway, I also had terrible pain in my stomach so I have it on my do not take list.

Hi Kayla and Big Daddy. Kayla, you look great/relaxed and sound it too. Glad it seemed to go well. I itch bad with morphine/dilauided also. A heavy dose of benedryl helps some for me. Hopefully once you get the pain pump the doseage you'll need won't cause a lot of itching if any.
