Hi man, im from Tolaria manga shop and i follow you on insta and patreon, i havent the aerograph for now and i paint my 3d statue with brushes and acrylic, I know it's not the best because the brushes leave a rough stroke, do you think that with the gummed paper I can do what you do with the silly putty? or risk of removing the color? and then do you have any advice on how to make the final paint less rough and give the impression of being more lucid? What do I know, for example, a post-painting, protective product that makes the print more similar to an airbrush effect? ty for answer anyway.
If you use a brush I would make sure to add water to the paints to make it as thin as possible and dry a little slower. The brush lines come from the thick paint mostly. You can use any kind of tape or gummy material for masking, but you are correct, you will need to test it on something first to make sure it does not damage the painted surface! Some of them do.
