jimmy u can use euro m3 3,2l strut bearings switchted up so left on right and right on left this makes any e36 handle 100 times better!!! i am from Germany and had it in any of my e36's witch were like 13 or so it transforms the car completly !!!!!
Well for your first time with that car looks to me like you did great just need more seatime with me I'm too used to watching Orion, Adam LZ and Taylor Ray yeah but you're kicking ass dude keep gunnin for it buddy..
Throw that rear sway bar back in! I pulled mine out of my e46 for a while and it was crazy inconsistent. I reinstalled it with aftermarket endlinks and now the car is way more predictable!
Go 1jz vvti in the E36. Theres adapter kits u can get that uses the stock bmw drivetrain which can handle around 450hp so its really the cheapest n most reliable route. Im doin it in my e46
Hey Jimmy, you know taking out the rear swaybar means the car is more likely to grip up as it is softer? Racing cars to get more turn in (to get the car to come around faster in the rear) we use a stiffer rear bar
go m60b40 oder m60b44 v8 in the e36, I know they fit - and headers are on both sides so it should not be a problem for rhd - as well as for power there a handful
Jimmy did you guy think maybe rent out that skid pad for some private session? I think that you easily could gather 20 cars/people and divide between the cost if the cost isn't like 10000$
There’s lots of guys here in the uk who have turbo m5x engines, much easier to have a Bottom Mount turbo which means you can run the ‘downpipe’ straight out the back. There’s lots of manifolds available for it
Looked like you did good man . Must be hard in a new chassis and on the other side! I started out in an s14 and thought I was great. Then got in a mx5/miata and realised I had Been relying on power and castor to much. You will probabbly find you can drift way faster when you get used to it more
I'd say keep the e36 motor in there, get some n/a upgrades like headers, exhaust maybe an intake manifold and cams.the bmw straight 6 sound badass n/a,that and you've already spent a bunch of time and money making it a manual.other than that keep up the great work and awesome content can't wait to see the s13 finished up!!!
Look like hard work Jimmy, but believe it or not but you'll be better in the s13 for having spent a sesh in the e36. S1e has a better set up, more power and it's what you know so think of this as good prep for wheb the s13 is ready. Cheers mate!
The understeer is because you disconnected the rear sway bar lol. Hook that shit back up, the end that slides needs to be stiff. Talk to some autox guys for help setting up your suspension
Make sure you guys hit that like button for me!!

You could get some nitrous to help the BMW when drifting?
Jimmy Oakes Always!
Jz swap the bmw

The drive fast eat ass hat is key
Chip with the Earnhardt jersey = real one!! Do it for Dale!! Shit had me rollin my guy
Such a humble dude, you’re what people should aspire to be, keep up the killer videos dooooode
Chip rock'n the Magnum PA. Look.
My mannnnn. That’s what I’m talking about 🤘🏼
Props for keeping it real, and beeing out there while feeling like shit...loved seeing the e36 in action!
U did pretty damn good jimmy for being in a different chassis that’s rhd and ur first day out of the year
jimmy u can use euro m3 3,2l strut bearings switchted up so left on right and right on left this makes any e36 handle 100 times better!!! i am from Germany and had it in any of my e36's witch were like 13 or so it transforms the car completly !!!!!
I never heard of this one. Thanks for the tip!
It will be nice to look back at this video when you are tearing it up at the end of the season.
Maybe Jimmy finally realized that being a stance boi does literally nothing for you other than ruin your car :)
and it will respond way better with a stock front axle (without modification of the akerman and all that shit)
Very true!
Well for your first time with that car looks to me like you did great just need more seatime with me I'm too used to watching Orion, Adam LZ and Taylor Ray yeah but you're kicking ass dude keep gunnin for it buddy..
@5:32
Get well soon buddy 👍🏻
Jimmy got a good vibe goin on
Hell yeah jimmy! I really enjoyed watching the event! Keep up the good work!
Aww man! I was debating on going up to Thompson if you were going and I missed it! Let me know when you're up this way in the Northeastern part of CT!
*hire me to come and cook for you guys on the next drift event*
Love to see a rear mount turbo on that 36 Jimmy.
Drew took a W
I always hit the like button before watching your vids, Jimmy.
Definitely about that seat time man. You could literally watch you get better each lap.
'"Sees autocross event in the background" *heavy breathing*
Omg tuck with his little cape is adorable 10/10 goodboi
Jimmy is like the father to drew and jip haha
Should have kept the rear sway bar in. No rear sway bar = understeer.
Ayyyyyy Jimmy with the British drift status.... :) Should get that UK plate somewhere on the beeeeemer :) "🐝mer"
Just went on my lunch break and it was uploaded, meant to be I suppose
Inconsistent grip is probably due to toe deflection in the rear. After I replaced my toe arm bushings it completely fixed that issue for me.
Jimmy OMF this e36 its the beeeest
I think less camber in the rear and a stiffer anti roll bar in the rear will reduce grip and help you get that back end out Jimmy!
its all about seat time....not power!!!
‘What’s up guys, it’s drift day’
‘Hey drift day, I’m jack ‘
;))
That BMW has come along way, sick to see you drift it! Keep up the good work!
i want jipp behind the camera for a whole build video
Editing coming out fire 🔥🔥 keep it up
Throw that rear sway bar back in! I pulled mine out of my e46 for a while and it was crazy inconsistent. I reinstalled it with aftermarket endlinks and now the car is way more predictable!
yess been waiting for this one!!
Aint nothing wrong with being stance on track as long as your fitment is right Keep up the good work #EurospecGarage 🇩🇪🤙🏾🔥
Go 1jz vvti in the E36. Theres adapter kits u can get that uses the stock bmw drivetrain which can handle around 450hp so its really the cheapest n most reliable route. Im doin it in my e46
So dope. Needed a lot more speed and I wouldn’t tried to link that little s curve but idk if you had the power to do it.
M62b44 swap it e36 v8 common swap in Europe
SR -> E36
1JZ -> S13
Both get better at the price of 1jz.
Jimmy... U have to strap up more horses to it... and it soul be awesome skid beast
NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER!
Hey Jimmy, you know taking out the rear swaybar means the car is more likely to grip up as it is softer? Racing cars to get more turn in (to get the car to come around faster in the rear) we use a stiffer rear bar
Was really hoping to see you at broke east man its a shame you didnt go!
go m60b40 oder m60b44 v8 in the e36, I know they fit - and headers are on both sides so it should not be a problem for rhd - as well as for power there a handful
what is on Jips face just above the upper lip!!!!!!!
Hopefully this makes jimmy get that SR ready to drift. The real drift car..
It's understeering coz you disconnected the rear anti roll bar dude, stiffer in the rear: more oversteer, stiffer in the front: more understeer
Seems like a track day would be more fun. Wonder why no youtubers do them.
Sammyzuko you aren't watching the right channels. Tons of track time all over.
take a shot for every excuse
Jimmy did you guy think maybe rent out that skid pad for some private session? I think that you easily could gather 20 cars/people and divide between the cost if the cost isn't like 10000$
Anyone remeber the video of Travis building his sr? He didn't use assembly lube.. if you look back at haggards videos you could go see it
Good shit bro when's the next event there? I wanna go and support you!
N that’s why you don’t take a stance build on a track lol
There’s lots of guys here in the uk who have turbo m5x engines, much easier to have a Bottom Mount turbo which means you can run the ‘downpipe’ straight out the back. There’s lots of manifolds available for it

love ur videos bro!!
1j e36.
Or a 4g63 would be super fun.
Id say just finish you s13 send that thing leave the bmw as the cool daily so you still have a reliable bmw to drive during the summer months
Kyle Glenn that's the goal:)
Listen to the wise man mr oaks
Big Jim great video #RHDdrifting my dude gettin it!
big tyres in the back put some 16" it will fly!
hey jimmy s62 swap the e36 you can also then go 6 speed all out of e39 m5
Smashed it ten times!
put an RB in the e36, you wil have no problems with the steering shaft or with power!!
Definitely need to hit up Trevor at MotionAutoTV and talk about getting big dirty when he finishes the F350. We know you'll take good care of it!
Jimmy, pls build a m50b25 turbo! That would be dope :)))
s54 turbo swap or just simple bottom mount if possible turbo de stock e36 engine
Jimmys straight gettin it
That classic vlog music
Put back the rear sway bar. If you take off a sway bar you need the stiffer suspension you can get, now you have just a lot of body roll. ;-)
Forget about stancing the e36 more castor and a bit more camber
u are the best!
does the front tires even have grip? looks like they are just gliding
Let's go Jimmy O.......
SR e36? Jimmy plz
Cole Rumford FUCK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+1 i got what you need dog
Please
looks tough but really fun
jips fuckin mustache
I'd say keep the e36 motor in there, get some n/a upgrades like headers, exhaust maybe an intake manifold and cams.the bmw straight 6 sound badass n/a,that and you've already spent a bunch of time and money making it a manual.other than that keep up the great work and awesome content can't wait to see the s13 finished up!!!
It would make more sense to "just" S50 swap it at that point
Very true
Jip looks like zach from hoonigan
Look like hard work Jimmy, but believe it or not but you'll be better in the s13 for having spent a sesh in the e36. S1e has a better set up, more power and it's what you know so think of this as good prep for wheb the s13 is ready. Cheers mate!
Im fuckin dead he said "need a tow? no chinstrap" 😂😂😂😂
Jimmy hit up big boost for some advise on E36, cause ye got a turbo one and it hits boiii
Helping Travis is a like from me you’re cool do
Maybe you should 1jz vvti swap the e36 and not your s13
putting in WORK!!
Jimmy swap a RB25 on the e36 should be a nice project
Rookie drifting 101 🖒🖒🖒
Car is to snappy, stiffen fronts and soften rears.
Love it!👌👌
road trip to Florida?? Drift with LZ and the crew??
The understeer is because you disconnected the rear sway bar lol. Hook that shit back up, the end that slides needs to be stiff. Talk to some autox guys for help setting up your suspension
Camera looks sick dude
Rear camber is a bit full on ay?
Yeah boy hell yeah
Hey jimmy, who did you have it imported through?
1jz or M50 turbo E36 would be LIT AF
Is the e36 a 325i or 328i shreds pretty good for stock :)
