    Does this apply to the M32 as well? Do I need to go to the Behringer website or the Midas website for the driver?

      The drivers are all the same and interchangeable. The Midas are might have a slightly different name, but the code and logic is all the same.

      I still use Zoom to remotely control peoples consoles, but keep in mind this is only for setup type situations. I would never try to mix remotely as there is too much latency for the actual audio.

    Great video. Would I be able to use my IPAD while in a different location to connect to the mixer ?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are connected to the same network you can control the mixer. If you are in a different facility (say at home) you would need to have a computer connected to the network (with X32 edit) on the network and then you remotely control that computer. I do this all the time across Zoom for clients that I am helping get setup. Keep in mind you have to find a solution for hearing the audio in somewhat realtime if you are trying to mix.

    I am having problems connecting X32-Edit to Console. I set IP's on console and go into X32-Edit SETUP. I can see my console. I select it with sync from mixer to PC and hit "connect". From there, it never connects to the console. Any suggestions?

      Hard to say exactly. I would load X32-edit onto a computer on the same network and see if it will load and work properly. I only use the Midas version of the software for iPad as they stopped updating the Behringer version many years ago.

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I want to make a joke and say that no connections should be made when you are at the beach since life should slow down there.
      The real answer is that the board will be connected to an internet signal, but you can only control it if you are on the same network that it is connected to which would be in your facility. That being said, I use Zoom a lot to remotely control consoles and the way that works is that you would have Zoom initiated on a computer on the network (in your facility) with X32-Edit running. Then, that computer can issue a screen share on Zoom and you (at the beach) can request remote control through Zoom. This allows you to control X32-Edit on the computer in your facility while you are at the beach and this in turn has you controlling the console... from the beach.

    • @bertina.wilson
      @bertina.wilson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Exactly what I am looking for, but I am missing a piece. The RJ-45 on the remote control port is currently connected to a router for wifi control via iPAD. I'd also like to have the X32 EDIT app on the MAC...this MAC (used for streaming) is hardwired to a switch that goes out to the web. If I put a crossover cable from switch to router, will the computer see the X32 or am simply causing an IP conflict that'll crash the network? Say the MAC wasn't used for streaming, is connecting to the wireless router basically my path to have both wireless and hardwired control of the X32?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you can try going across the switch (in a testing time... not a production time), but I think your IP's will not match up. Your best bet is to connect to the same router as the X32.

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m assuming you are trying to solo an input channel or a bus. When you press the solo button it will send it to the headphone output on the side of the console (or to the monitor outputs on the back of the console). It will not come to your computer as this interface is strictly for remote control. I hope that helps.

    Hey! Great video! This may sound like a dumb question though, but how did you connect from the router to the Mac? Wireless? Bluetooth? RJ45?? Thanks!

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For this example (and most of my use cases) I am connecting wirelessly just like you would at home for internet. If you want a solid connection or if you are in a large venue you can always connect with a cable to be hardwired just like you do the console.

    Why would you want to copy the mixer to the computer? I spent 4 hours writing a scene on my Mac, and now I want to transfer these settings to the board.

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are in luck, the software offers both directions. Many people are connecting to an existing scene on their console so they choose to go from "Mixer > PC". Other times people do what you have done and that is pre-build a scene and then you want to load it to your console and for that you can choose the "PC > Mixer" option.

      You console will act like any computer on your network. If you want to control the console remotely you will need to have it connected to a network. If you disconnect the console from the network, your devices will no longer be able to see it and connect to it therefore breaking the control. Sometime I will build a scene in X32-Edit, load it onto the console and then disconnect since I will be controlling the console manually at the board, but X32-Edit gives me a chance to build the scene while at home.

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After doing some basic research on the F8 Zoom it seems like you need to send audio to your analog console to build a mix for your house. Then use a Stereo BUS Pair to build a livestream mix and send that mix to your Zoom F8. You now have the option to record that mix onto SD card or send an output from this to a camera or other streaming device.
      In the end you need to determine what each piece of gear can do for you and then decide the best method of how to build your system.

      I do this with Zoom all the time. You would start a Zoom session on your machine and a machine on the same network as the X32 that is running X32-edit. Then do a remote control across Zoom so that you are controlling the computer at your venue and now you can mess with X32-edit which is in turn connected to the console. You won’t be able to hear the audio, but for setup or changes (or troubleshooting) this tends to be the most efficient way to do this.

    Thank you for all your videos @AllamHouse!
    This video was almost what I need. We currently control our Behringer x32's stream mix using the X-32Mix app (iPad in sound-proof room) over a wireless network. This usually works fine, but once it a while, we get some interference and the connection drops/reconnects, then drops/reconnects, and then later dops/reconnects. It hasn't done this in a couple of months, but I'm just waiting for it to happen again. I'd like to have the option to switch from the wifi to a hard wire when this occurs. I've seen one video th-cam.com/video/bzjp0nMiYfI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=producerguy talking about it... but there are some details missing and so I don't have it working yet. Of interest to me would be the exact model of Network to lightning converter. Have you ever tried a hard wire connection?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, you are really just planning to run a Cat5 internet cable from the router, into your rom for your iPad to connect to instead of wireless. Just determine if you have a 30-pin (old iPad charging), lightning, or USB-C connector on your iPad. Then grab the needed plug that allows for an internet connector. I recommend getting one that offers an additional lightning input so you can charge the iPad while using the internet connection. The official term for the internet plug is RJ45 so that might help in your searching. Most things you find on Amazon will work just fine for your needs.

      @@AllamHouse Hi David. Yup! You've got the right idea. That said, my first attempt at this didn't work... the app simply didn't connect to the board once I turned off the wifi. The other video I referenced hinted at a possibility: He said that he had to try a couple of adapters because one or two of them that he tried didn't work for some reason. I've got 2 more RJ45->Lightning adapters on order... and you're correct: One that offers charging as well is preferable. I'll let you know if one of them works and post a link here in case it's a help to others. Thanks!

      @@AllamHouse Finally got it working today! Anyway, here is the scoop: The first thing you should notice is that when you plug in the network to lightning adapter, you should see a new "Ethernet" setting appear under your "WiFi" settings on the iPad. This may sound obvious, but I'm not an Apple guy... and, for me, that actually didn't happen at first anyway, because the adapter I really wanted to use, didn't work at all... more on that later. Anyway, once that setting appeared, I simply copied all the settings for the wifi (things like IPAddress, subnet, etc) in the new ethernet area. That should be basically all you need to do. The only other oddity is I was originally trying to plug the iPad's network cable into the Unifi Router, and also had the x32 plugged into the same router. For some reason, I never did get that working. But, that was only a temporary step in order to simply/diagnose the setup. Once I plugged the iPad network cable into the switch, and then the switch wire to the router, and the x32 network wire to the router, that worked just fine... and that's really the way I wanted it wired anyway. Anyway, this is the powered adapter that finally worked for me: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B091923NWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      This one worked too, but it is not powered: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XCT9P4M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      This powered one did not work. No idea why. But, even once I had a working system, I twice tried to switch back to this unit (because it's the one that I probably would have chosen as my favorite/optimal adapter), and it did not work. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B099K2B2YJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      Hopefully this will help someone else. Thanks for listening!
