Parks now are a disgrace , buildings in town are suffering from a lack of care , bins overflowing roads full of potholes , Council tax at its highest housing crisis ongoing but hey ms Aitken being rewarded for being a shitehole and giving her a pay rise for her tenure , this years ago was a beacon of hope but now its a bonfire of failure

I lived in Possil when I was around 4-6 years old but my parents decided that Cumbernauld offered better opportunities for us. I'm glad they did.

I worked in this wonderful city from 1973 until 1978 walking down the streets learning the history. Funny and kind the people were a credit to the city and while the city had it's issues (which one doesnt?) it seemed a happier, better time. Even after all these years - when I go down the streets - I feel at home..

Why the need for the large subtitles? They get in the way of the picture.

@@rha4374 ha ha ha there’s even an appearance of an ‘autism cart’ it all adds to the atmospheric dreariness of the city until I’d had enough round the 10 minute mark. Kudos for posting Pete.

2:47 I'll let anyone not from Glasgow into a little secret. Those neighborhoods in the city only became 'unsightly' after the city council unleashed the wrecking balls, destroyed communities and sent them packing to cold new towns and soulless housing schemes. And even to this day, there remain many square miles of blank and empty wastelands that once were alive and vibrant.
Thank God the lunatics were stopped, as it was seriously suggested that almost all of the city centre's historic buildings should have been demolished and replaced with Soviet style brutalist architecture .
This was a time when ideologues were feted and people were ignored.
Let's not allow that to happen again.

Yes but then HEROIN was allowed to happen.

@kerrrossthe amount of migrants is far too high & it's unacceptable that locals are homeless & in poor accommodation, whilst they reside for free in hotels & ultimately priority stock social housing, fully furnished of course.

Unless the people who are going to live there are given a voice on what they would like to see done, the real practicalities of living in these communities it will never be achieved. The reality not the wish by planers who don't live in our world. This input be the people puts the onus on them to look after the community because they have a stake in how the live inside their community.✌️☘️

Glasgow is so sorry to hear about your disappointing time spent within it’s confines. A parting of the ways was, in reflection, probably for the best. I hope you managed recover, just like Glasgow did .
