No. You do not have to do anything to the triple tree. But I do have customers that have installed a 6° triple tree and they say the steering is easier with the six degree rake. Most people don't have any issues riding it without the rake. But I have a few older customers that have no upper body strength and they say it's better with the rake. I hope this helps. This kit make your bike ride like a trike. Which means you will steer it through the turns not lean. You do not have to rake the front end but you can if you want. If you do it does make it a little easier to turn. I've only had a few customers rake there front end and they were severely disabled and needed it to turn easier.
