The conditional formatting disappers during sorting because, you haven't included the sorting column to the ALLSELECTED. The sorting column gets automatically included in the filter context of the visual.
Hi Akhil, could you please explain a little bit more how to do?? I try to apply your solution but no result. Appart from this, it has no sense to have year-month unsorted... Thanks!!
@@josepromero1452 You can use: MAXX ( ALLSELECTED ( DimDate[Year-Month], DimDate[SortYearMonth] ), [Sales] ), provided you are using the May release of Power BI Desktop. For older versions, you could replace ALLSELECTED with ALL, since it doesn't support multiple arguments. But if you want to simulate same effect of ALLSELECTED in older versions, you may have to write little bit more complex DAX. Hope this helps.
@@akhilannan Thanks a Lot!! IT WORKS!! Although I have last release, the sentence of two arguments for ALLSELECTED appears underlined (as an error), but if I press enter, it works.
Dear Ruth, Thanks a lot for this interesting tutorial! It seems the pbix files of this tutorial have a problem! I face this error when I try to open it on my computer: 'File address in my computer' is corrupt or an invalid report file.
And second: The Page 1 you can sort your "Year-Month" also after Monthnumber and than easily put a year slicer into the report. Than it works with sorting :)
Hola Ruth. Ayuda!!! Muchas gracias :)

Oh, that’s gotta be it! Thanks for sharing, I will give it a go!

Hi Ruth, Thanks for your amazing videos.
Came here for your Rept Video Ruth, u r great!
Great that the vids are useful !

7:09 good question! Did you try to sort it first and then add the formatting measure?
I tried this on the download file, and still get the formatting error. Did you notice that the values are all formatted as highest value?
@@christopherhastings2142 Yeap. Looks like sort it by runs with Max at the same time. Could be use just Max rather than Maxx.
MAX takes only a column though...
/Ruth
Please suggest how to use the same condition if the sales value is not a measure but a column
Where can I like the video multiple times? ¿! Great video thanks
😂😂😂 you just did, thanks!
/Ruth
Thanks for video. From where we can get colour codes which you used during formatting.
Just download the pbix file on curbal.com

Hi Ruth - great video! FYI - It looks like your Revenue Formatting measure is referencing two different measures for sales - [Sales] and [sales].
Oh, is it ? Let me check !
/Ruth
Sales and sales is the same. There is only one sales measure.
Phew!!

why sometime in parathesis i can see only built-in column that i can choose?

Oh, so sorry, I am on holidays , would you mind reminding me next year? Thanks and merry Xmas!

Excelent, I will aply this today. Thank you.
But doesn't the analytical formatting pane have the max line by default? I do use that
Yes it does, this is another way to visualize max values.

Solved the sorting problem and your Measure works really great :)
I tried to take the Monthnumber instead of the Date this solved the Problem. I don't know may be the Format "Date" is the problem (bug)?
And second: The Page 1 you can sort your "Year-Month" also after Monthnumber and than easily put a year slicer into the report. Than it works with sorting :)
So you could sort month number and it showed correctly? Mmmmm have to try that!

Those three dots could not have been hidden better :| Thanks Ruth
I know right??

Patrick "Guy in a Cube" tiene uno o dos videos acerca de formato condicional
Le das el enlace?
Si es una matriz lo puedes poner en el “conditional formatting > elige la columna y pon : “apply to totals”
