Love this info! Wondering what your input is on having to take a break from IG for mental health as well as seeking more art education and working on pieces?
I am so glad you asked this! I think mental health breaks are SO very important to take. As someone who gets burnt out after a few months of consistency I schedule in a week break every 3 months. Currently I post 5 days a week so on the weekends I have my mini breaks. But, when I take longer breaks I will inform my followers that I am taking a mental health break and let them know when I will be back. Once my break is over I will come back with a big bang to make up for my absence. (and some times I will have prerecorded content to were I can take a break without even notifying them) As far as taking a break for art education or working on a piece; I would actually create content around that because that’s an added layer for people to feel more connected to you and your process. People love to know the amount of work you put into your craft. So lets say if you started attending art class; document your first day and explain why you wanted to extend your art education, talk about what you learned and how it will benefit your work. Also working on a piece can be the same, show your progress. Lets say you get art block on a piece, talk about how you have art block and what you are trying to do to get out of it, ask your community for advice, etc.
1:46 that transition was awesome!
