    Haven't played the old one but the newer MKII version is actually really good for its size. I prefer the tones over the Spark Mini. It may not have as much bass too it as the micro cube or mooer hornet that I use as well but the amp model tones are actually slightly better IMO. Probably best amp of this size I've ever played.

      @@MrPolevaulter you could’ve at least done some stuff with the noise gate, that maybe would’ve helped with the “farting “
      Edit: but then again, I’m not really that experienced with this sort of stuff...

    I can get it at local music store for 125 euro and a Vintage V6 that you have reviewed for 489 euro. Better deal than a Ibanez JEM Jr? The gain is not so high, but it could get lower volume than a 1 W tube am from Blackstar or Marshall. I will send you a mail for a paid recommendation. 🙂

      Sorry, what's a better deal? The Vintage? Totally different type of guitar.

    Now all they need to do is shrink the guitars ! Little speakers pushed that hard always sound wrong to me but this is better than most of it's type.

    Just got one. Looks like new sold second hand as barely used. All original packaging. The volumes seem to be a weird ordeal I suppose I need to get used to it. It was loud and when I turned it down it turned off the sound. I had to mess with it a while. Hahaj. The app seems to help. But it's really strange. Sounds good tho for 45 bucks. 69 shipped.

    They should make it just a bit larger for a number of reasons such as speaker size, but the most important thing for me is that there just isn't enough room for the degree of control I want. The app should add value without being a requirement. For example, I have the latest Yamaha THR (now wireless, battery powered, and has all the amp models from all three previous versions). It has an app as well, but you can access 5 presets and all the parameters: gain, effects, voices, etc. The app makes that easier and allows you to save/import additional presets, but it isn't a requirement. Bottom line: I want to play guitar, not with apps.

      Absolutely. I really don't like apps either.

    Hi Elmo . Thanks for the review. I bought this amp recently as a new starter for electric guitar. I have a squier Bullet telecaster with 2 single coils. Maybe it is a stupid question but would like to hear your comment. When the amp is in idle mode it makes a buzz noise. And when you change to overdrive and distortion it gets higher. When I touch my guitars string , knobs, fretboard etc . The buzz almost disappears. Is this normal or is this a defect of my amp? Thanks in advance for clarification.

    • @MrPolevaulter
      @MrPolevaulter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know nothing about the amp but does this happen only when using the power adapter or with batteries? Sounds like a classic grounding issue.

    • @hakanoguz715
      @hakanoguz715 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heavydiscotrip4846 with batteries the issue is less. With the original amp adapter it’s as I mentioned, Any recommendations?

    • @heavydiscotrip4846
      @heavydiscotrip4846 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hakanoguz715 A liittle bit of noise is normal for any amp but if the noise is loud, there is likely an electrical grounding issue that could be anywhere from the wall socket, the power adapter, the amp, to the guitar.
      The initial version of positive grid spark amp used to have noise issue and they had to replace the power adapter for example. But really the issue could be anywhere. If the issue is with wall socket just moving and plugging in to a different one can solve the issue.
      Just search online for something like 'guitar amp grounding issue' and you can find more suggestions on how you can troubleshoot the issue and see if the problem is with the amp, guitar, or something else.

    I personally do not care about tone in these little practice amps. Apart from any feature or build quality, the main issue is their baby speakers that limit their tone.
    I prefer practice amps which provide some options, i.e. delay, reverb, channel select and basic eq, bluetooth and drums are extra in this one. In this price range, it seems like a nice option.
