- The bridge over the fire is treacherous-thinner than a hair, sharper than a sword, with hooks on either side waiting to drag you down to the fires below. But your deeds stand guard with you as you cross. Your dhikr, your charity, your salawat, and more will accompany you in proportion to the importance you gave them in this life.

This particular episode from this series certainly has to be the heaviest on my heart so far. I can't begin to imagine myself, my parents, my loved ones or even anyone from the ummah having to crawl on all four limbs across this terrifying bridge, not knowing whether or not we'll make it safely to the one and only final destination we pray for- Jannah. It almost sounds surreal, like a frightening nightmare, but because it is very much true, it is all the more important to be mindful of this. When the time comes, may Allah Almighty Allow us to cross in a safe & sound manner, ameen.

*JUDGMENT DAY EP 27 NOTES*
• In this life, the straight path is difficult to stay on and that's why we ask Allah to keep us on it, every single time you read through Suratul-Fatiha, at least.
• And when you're walking it here, you have doors with Shayateen calling you to them on each side of you, all the way until you die. And you also have these sins that are like thorny bushes, and you have to hold yourself tight seeking to avoid those sins.
• And the only thing that gets you through, is that you are hearing the call of Allah ahead of you consistently, and you're moving towards it.
• The sirat in this life has the paradise of certainty ahead, Jannatul yaqeen, the paradise of certainty.
• And the hooks of sin and doubt are on its sides. The sirat in the next life has the Paradise ahead, and hooks of punishment are on all sides.
• The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that the sirat is thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword.
• And Abu Hurairah radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu narrated that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that "I will be the first to cross the sirat," this bridge over the fire. And he said, "The supplication," the du'a of the rusul, "of the Messengers of that day, and no one is going to be speaking on that day except for the Messengers of Allah, is that all of them will be saying "Allahumma salim, Allahumma salim, Allahumma salim" "O Allah, keep us safe, O Allah, keep us safe, O Allah, keep us safe."
• And so, as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and the Prophets cross the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that there hooks on the sides.

Thanks to Yakeen Institute and Omar Suleiman, my journey in embracing Islam has turned into a very beautiful experience. I’m from Turkey and as belng raised in a secular environment, I unfortunately didn’t have any idea as to how much I was wrong about Islam. I thought that being a good person was enough for being accepted to ‘cennet’. Now, I know that was not the case. I deeply thank you for guiding people like me to the right path so that we might have chance to be saved from the ‘cehennem’. Having said that, I would like to request from Omar Suleiman to shoot a detailed video related to and focused on the Sirat Bridge, if possible. I want to be more informed about the toughest phase awaiting us. Thank you so much for your great work and for your efforts.

1. Say this 3 times for 6 hours worth of reward:
سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه
Subhan-Allahi Wa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, wa rida-a nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi
(Glory and praise be to Allah, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, as much as the weight of His Throne, equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise).”
(Muslim)
2. It was narrated that Abu Umaamah said: “The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.”
(An Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban)
3. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet ﷺ (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He who says,
سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ
‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi‘
(Glory and praise be to Allah) one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the sea.
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
4. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:“There are two statements that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales, and beloved to the Most Merciful:
سُبحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ ،
سُبحَانَ اللّهِ الْعَظِيم
Subahana Allahi wa bihamdihi,
Subhana Allahi Al-`Atheem
(Glory and praise be to Allah,
Glorified is Allah, the Most Great.)”
(Al-Bukhari)
5. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: He who repeats after every prayer:
سبحان الله
Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times,
الحمدلله
Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times,
لله اكبر
Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) thirty-three times;
and completes the hundred with:
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ
وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ،
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ،
وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
La ilaha illallah,
wahdahu la sharika lahu,
lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu,
wa Huwa `ala kulli shai’in qadir
(There is no true god except Allah.
He is One and He has no partner.
His is the sovereignty and
His is the praise,
And He is Omnipotent)
Will have all his sins pardoned
even if they may be as large as the foam on the surface of the sea.”
(Muslim)
6. Zaid ibn Harithah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ(peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whosoever says:
أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الَّذِي لا إلَهَ إلا هُوَ الحَيُّ القَيُومُ وَأتُوبُ إلَيهِ
‘Astaghfirullaha al-`Atheem al-ladhi la ilaha illa howa Al-Hayy al-Qayyum wa atubu illayh
(I ask forgiveness of Allah, the Magnificent, than Whom there is no deity, the Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance,) his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield
(while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah, which is a grave sin in Islam).

7. Whoever reads Surah Ikhlas ten times, Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) exclaimed, “If that’s the case, then we will increase in our palaces!” The Prophet ﷺ (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) responded, “Allah is better and greater (in reward).”

8. Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on Friday, it will act as a light/protection for him from one Friday to the next.
[Bayhaqi]
9. Whoever performs their ablution carefully and then affirms (their faith by testifying):
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
“Ash-hadu an laa ilaha il Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasuluhu; Allahumma-ja’lni min at-tawaabeen waj-a’lni min al-mutatahireen”:
‘I testify that there is no true deity except Allah Alone, Who has no partners, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His slave and Messenger; O Allah, make me from those who repent and purify themselves’ - the eight gates of Jannah are opened for him so he may enter through whichever of these gates he desires.

10. Allah has promised whoever says:
رضيت بالله ربا وبالاسلام دينا
وبمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا
“Radheetu billahi Rabba, wa bil Islaami Deena, wa bi Muhammad Nabiyya”
‘I am pleased with Allah as my Lord,
and with Islam as my Religion, and with Muhammad as my Prophet,’
three times every morning or evening,
will be pleased on the day of resurrection
[Ahmad]
11. Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ
Allahumma inni as’aluk al-Jannah,
Then Paradise will say:
“O Allah! Enter him into Paradise!”
And whoever seeks protection with Allah from the Fire three times
اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّار
Allahumma ajirni min an-Nar,
The Fire will say:
“O Allah! Protect him from the Fire!”

12. Whoever is easy-going, gentle and kind, Allah will make the fire forbidden for him.
[Hakim]
13. In Paradise there are rooms whose outside can be seen from the inside and the inside can be seen from the outside. Allah has prepared them for those who feed the poor, who are gentle in speech, who fast regularly and who pray at night when (other) people are asleep.
[Ahmad]
14. Narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There is a soorah of the Qur’an, with thirty verses, that interceded for a man until he was forgiven; it is ‘Soorah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion)’ [al-Mulk 67:1].”
