Nathan, I work with a woman who is selling her 2003 e46 330xi coupe with the M54. It's like a mystic blue color. The clutch went out and she doesn't want to pay to have a new one installed. It has 220-230 thousand miles. The engine is actually in pretty decent shape. I replaced the brakes, fuel filter, plugs, and coils recently. The tires are pretty bald, and the alignment is off. Also, the sunroof doesn't open or close, it's stuck closed, doesn't leak, but is missing the partition. She said she'd take about anything anyone offered her. Just giving you a heads up if you feel like doing a clutch job on an all-wheel drive e46.
Did you ever check the fuel pressure? With the age and likely mileage on that car the fuel pump could definitely be weak and could have been at least part of the problem even though it appears to be fixed now.
Would a failing fuel pump cause the car feeling like it’s super weak? And my gas mileage is terrible I drive like 15 km but lose 40k worth of fuel I’m super lost
@@aimized1460 I've seen BMWs have lean codes on multiple cylinders caused by a weak fuel pump. Especially if everything else that can cause the codes like vacumn leaks have been eliminated. Low on power, engine that's difficult to start, engine cutting out and or hesitation or outright bogging on acceleration could be a fuel pump. White smoke out of the exhaust can be an indication of running lean and possibly the fuel pump. All of that could also be a bad fuel filter. The high fuel consumption isn't typical but possible but if it's that bad you should have lean codes. If the vehicle is a BMW and is over 10 or 15 years old, has high mileage and has the original fuel pump you probably should change it since it's probably weak, on it's way to complete failure and at least part of the problem.
@@michaelporter3555 yes the car is 14 years old , has 259k km , no codes or faults are present.
