i mean i feel like relationships, especially romantic ones need some time to really build and develop. it's not so much "beating around the bush", i just wish we got to see them progressively fall for each other as the story went on. wesper is my favorite ship, i found them so endearing in the books. in the show i felt like they fell for each other so fast i couldn't even pinpoint the reason or the moment they fell for each other. i felt like it sort of came out of nowhere. i would have loved to see some gay yearning and the "not just girls?" line 🥲 but i still loved seeing them together and squealed like a teenage girl every time they were on screen
This is generally something i noticed this season. They hid many things from us, that we didnt watch. They just told us it happenend and we basically missed half of their character relationships, so for us it felt rushed. If we had seen jespers and wylans former meeting it wouldnt had felt like that

I know they kind of had to rush the developments for a lot of the pairings and the plot in itself (using most of the crooked kingdom plot in this season) because they're not sure if they will renew it for another season or have a SOC spinoff but they did sooooo good with Wylan and Jesper. I know it's not like in the books, but I really enjoyed watching them on screen and their chemistry was on point!
pls everyone rewatch and continue to watch/binge season 2even if it's background noise so we can get season 3 and the spinoff. spread the word because the first 28 days are important.
