  • Here is the 2022 Audi SQ5 Vorsprung V6 SUV. Is the Audi SQ5 Audi's best SUV? I think it could be. Its V6 diesel propels the Audi SQ5 to 62mph in 5.1 seconds, its a glorious looking SUV with great dimensions and provides a perfect one size fits all car that does everything well. I really like the Audi SQ5 and i think its a car that i would consider buying. The price tag for the vorsprung model is expensive at 75000 but you get a lot of car for that money. Its 4 wheel drive quattro system gives you great grip and the ride comfort with its air suspension gives you the best of both, even with the 21 inch wheels!

Why we are being forced to ditch these amazing diesel engines is beyond me. Great power, flexibility and economy. Cleaner than most EV`s over the life of the car.

I run a 2021 one of these, commute 80 miles a day, get 40mpg, and the 3 litre lump will smoke most cars I encounter day to day in a straight line / great for over taking. The interior isn’t the “new” Audi styling, but at least you get some buttons in it…..as I live in the sticks the permanent Quattro does work quite well. Perfect for me, offends others!!

Great video! I have a 2018 SQ5 petrol, agree with your comments - space and pace!
    It’s a great all rounder!

In agreement with you on this one. Have driven Audi car as daily driver for over 40yrs, and now on my second SQ5 (2020} Regret could not stretch to Vorsprung at the time. Love the two aspects of this car, fun and sensible. Engine fantastic, my MPG figures 34-42, and towing 27 with 2000kg trailer on the back. On drive select I have set dynamic other than ride set on comfort when passengers on board. Rear seat passengers find ride comfort still lacking, but up front no problem. When driving solo all set to dynamic, so it’s two cars in one. Tend to ignore the oil burner critics, just look at the stats. Great video.🤗

Great to hear …I’ve today bought a ‘20 plate one and it’s epic. Got a fully loaded bargain with 30k on the clock. I’ve a brand new S3 for 6 months and was already bored with it. The SQ5 gives me back some drama and road presence.

The 2017/18 petrol version is absolutely brilliant. Such a dynamic all rounder, comfortable with air suspension, achieved 38mpg on a long run and can deliver brilliant power. Only gripe for me with that car is it’s mpg for town driving and lots of it sees it drop quite rapidly. That’s the price paid for having a V6 turbo petrol in a 2 tonne car. Either way though, a class family car and thoroughly recommended!

I had the petrol version, before they went back to diesel. Sounded awesome. Fake exhaust tips were a let down though.

Great video its a shame that Audi has not upgraded the interior but I guess this will be the last run of the SQ5.

There are no diesels in the US; we are at pure petrol. I imagine diesel would last a lot longer.

Great video Stef, we had a Q5 a few years ago, not really my cup of tea but a good solid car. Just a shame they can’t do a SQ5 in petrol, understand torque wouldn’t be there, but would be interesting to see the 2.9 petrol. Totally left field here ……. Any chance over next few months of a road test with the Maserati Grecale? Or Levante? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Looks lovely, but not much over 20 mpg for a diesel, that’s crap

Old dated interior fake exhausts to expensive for an aging dog.
Your better off with the new RSQ3 as it’s all new tech and just as practical and loads quicker.
    How do I know this.
I had the previous shape SQ5. Binned this shape off and got the RSQ3 ran it for 3 yrs now. 36mpg real exhausts and a proper noise.
Your more than welcome to come drive it it’s also stage 1 tuned with a gearbox map. 🎉

Its difficult to buy into the concept of 'fake' engine coming through the speakers combined with fake exhaust - very vain.
