I think I first read about real tennis on wikipedia a few years ago...wicked complicated. Watched footage of the world championships a few minutes ago...wicked complicated. As soon as this guy in a sweatshirt said "that's the town wall and those are the roofs of the market" it all clicked; real tennis is the exact same game I played as a child in my backyard, only these guys were royalty and they had 800 years to make up more and more rules so only they could win ;) Thanks for the content. I used to be a mechanic for a shop that did a lot of tourist rentals, so I think what you're doing here is great. Bikes are really the best way to explore new places, especially if you've got a friend who knows the lay of the land.
This is a really good, simple summary of the game. As the guy says, real tennis has many fiendish complexities but playing definitely makes it easier to understand.

I have never heard of this. That was really amazing. I would love to see a match someday.
Its a ripper mate. Where abouts are you from? I could let you know your closest court and a place to see a match and speak to a pro!
Fascinating! Thanks
