  • Welcome, dear viewers, to Books and Picnics and a cosy reading vlog!
I have been trying to enjoy the "last" week of summer before we can officially start into autumn :)
Last Saturday, I spent a lovely afternoon in my family home's garden eating damson cake and spaghetti and reading Angela Thirkell's "A Double Affair".
Since I had the week off we headed to the Tyrolean Alps for a mini holiday a few days later. At our hotel nestled in the mountains I read Colleen Hoover's "It Starts with US" and John Bude's "The Lake District Murder". Apart from reading I enjoyed good food, mild sunshine and the stunning mountain panorama.
Why don't you stay for a moment and I'll tell you more!
If you enjoy my vlog, it would mean the world to me if you liked this video or even subscribed to my channel.

This is a beautiful vlog! I wish I had more time to read. I barely get our book club book done before our meetup every month. Were reading “America the Beautiful? By Blythe Roberson.

Thank you so much for your comment! It really is hard to make enough time for reading but a book club is a wonderful way to keep you going! I hope you'll finish your book in time and have a great session! 😊

It Ends with Us and It Starts with Us are horrible. Now, It Ends with Us is a movie currently showing in the U.S. I do not live in a bubble, nor am I naive. I know some relationships and families are cruel and harmful, however, I do not choose these types of books or movies for my entertainment. Unfortunately, too many people do. Thank you for your honesty in expressing your opinion.
