Also generally "laugh you lose" rules I've seen (not that there are any) is if someone laughs at the thing and that causes other people to laugh it counts, but if someone *adds* things (like expands the joke, or makes a comment after) that pushes you over the edge it doesn't count

17:15 Yup, any movie that had the friends of the young main character die left me absolutely gutted - no matter how much they tried to make a happy ending out of it. I just ended up thinking about how they're still gonna grow up and with only the memory of them. I was 13 when the movie came out, and I remember immediately after fantasizing about bursting into the writer's room (didn't know it was a book first) to coerce them into changing the ending XD
