With all honesty, he tried the DLC and man, it's way, WAY, WAAAYYYY too bloated. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to watch it, but I think they didn't do a good job segmenting every new feature of the DLC. So it's hard to follow if you don't have it. STONESHARD on another hand... 👀 Is bloated as well, but has been so long, it also deserves a revisit in my opinion.
It was from NL's Slay the Spire that also got me into his channel and I really didn't care if he wasn't the most proficient at the game. I started rooting for him because I found him to be a very likeable guy. That journey to complete the ascension 20s is something I'll always remember too, and I was happy for him at each victory.

This is why I had a hard time getting into this series back then. NL plays really fast and if you're not familiar with the game it's basically impossible to follow. It's a lot more enjoyable if you've played the game yourself and know what the cards do. I recently picked it up and went back to watch his videos. Even so I don't remember what all the relics do and he usually just clicks through it too qickly to read.

I discovered NL a couple of months back through his chess content then discovered he had hundreds of slay the spire vids. Strange to hear him say this is his first one in years since it's been about two days since I last watched one. I have to congratulate you on not aging a day in the last 3 years!
I played more than 1000 hours of slay the spire almost entirely because of NL. Really excited to see him come back to it even if it's just for a video or two.
You did pretty well, i was still confused that you not took one bigger attack, but you pulled it off perfectly. Crazy how good you are still at the game after all this time. If i think about starting to play that game again, i am getting a headache.
Highly recommend a bluetooth headband rather than earbuds for sleeping. You'll lose it much less often and it also reduces the pressure on your ears if you turn sideways so it ends up being more comfortable too. They also make sleep masks with speakers in them that do essentially the same thing.
