On my c5 , i just went with the top rated Michelin 4S in oem size. I can easily break traction and in reality W mods, im probably at 415 hp. My car is plenty fast w mondtor torque. I can easily break traction but the tire excels in predictability and wet conditions. Lateral g force slides are easily corrected. Road noise, durabilty & comfort are excellent.

You say original motor was swapped out, so how did you wire the ls3 to 2000 factory harness ? Are all dash lights clear ? .I want to swap but I'm looking for the best way to do so ,, safely. Can you help. I have same year as you.

The kit is advertised for a C5/C6. The fitment really plays more to C6 vettes as the frame rail mount location is different in both cars. When doing the install I couldnt even obtain pictures of C5's with the kit on the car from the manufacturer. All pictures provided were C6's, you actually have to swap rear control arms to C6 to get them to clear. In my research I have found about 5 others with the kit on their car all had to do similar modifications as I have done to make the kit work.
How much money do you have in this? Also what is the quarter mile time? I also have a c5 but really have the itch for a new 1le camaro SS. Not sure if I should go with the Camaro or spend some money on the C5 and get it to look and perform like your C5.

I had to sell the C6 for financial reasons so I ended up getting into a C5 which is what I drive now. I gotta say not being nearly as fast as my old C6Z I still love the C5 for what it is. Only 602whp with built & blown 6.2 ??? Seems awful low. It's a nice build just expected close to 700whp. My built h/c/I ls1 with 250 shot is 712whp Those wheels are sick but do the skinny tires grip?? What's weight of car? I was thinking lighter front & rear quarters for weight reduction
It deff was low, the car needed a proper fuel system. I had a different pump put in and the car was retuned and put down 743 wheel. I put a follow up video about it. I am running r888’s right now and they do not grip well at all. Not 100% sure on the weight but the carbon vs fiberglass wasn’t much of a weight savings. They are both light materials

I feel like you should/could be making more power for sure, I have a built LS6 in my car (cracked a few piston rings when I initially had A&A blower installed & had cats plug exhaust) w/ forged crank custom cut pistons stage 2 blower cam etc w/ dual meth injection similar setup & car made 718whp on a stingy mustang dyno. Has the shorter pulley. The LS3 w/ same setup should make more power. You def need high pressure fuel pump. I have dual fuel pumps & 80 lb Bosch injectors not sure if that makes big diff or not.
She's a beaut, I think every man can appreciate a murdered out Vette, especially with some jam under the hood. Question though, is it actually an Automatic? Lol.
My Novi 1500 maxed out at 704RWHP uncorrected on a mustang dyno at 11 psi on my forged TSP 427. Stock C6Z exhaust manifolds and first cats with borla attack behind. You can spin those to Novi’s to 65,000 rpm but they run out of steam up top if you do that, or at least on a 427 they do. Just get a YSI V7B and an A&A 8 rib and be done.
Bro, I've seen some bad ass C5s in my day but that shit is nasty. I'll give you a A I would give you an A+ but you don't have a license plate cover in the front 🤣🤣🤣. Real talk tho awesome build bro.
Yep, I used to climb to 160 IATs at the eighth with that shitty ECS intercooler placement, even with straight meth pre blower. I had to fab a sheet metal air dam so the air wouldn’t just flow underneath and around the intercooler radiator stack. That helped tremendously by bringing them down to 130 by the eighth, but it still wasn’t enough to keep it from heat soaking doing 60-160’s back to back, so I recently installed the T1 hood vents. I haven’t finished the tune with my new YSi V7B setup but with one pull to 160 and I only logged 118 IATs, and my ECT’s are down 14 degrees in all conditions.
@@ZeRoXceLzYn the real killer of airflow is the crash structure. If you look at the ECS intercooler placement, it’s probably more than half shrouded by the aluminum box beam. I’ve heard of guys cutting a section of it out and angling it so air can get to the whole intercooler. A&A just plain makes a better kit by far. Their intercooler is stuffed right behind the grill with a lip to keep the air from going underneath. I have replaced everything else besides the intercooler with A&A parts so far. I don’t even like Douge. He doesn’t respond and they don’t use HP tuners. I never should have bought the ECS kit. Eventually I will replace the intercooler as well, but I have it bandaided pretty well with the sheet metal dam and hood vents.
I mean absolutely no disrespect by this, because I really like your car, but mine is the stock 5.7 with just a cam, running the same supercharger, and 10psi. Making 600hp. With that 6.2 you could be making alot more. My plan is to build a 6.0 or a 6.2 for mine soon, as well as straight cut gears in the tranny. I should be pushing 800hp at the minimum.

How's your transmission temp? Mine is N/A and running at 230 degrees
Mine runs 200-230 and that’s running hot. Recently had fans put on the trans cooler so hoping the temps come down. You should look into a trans cooler

I did an updated video, the car makes around 740 wheel now. I needed a fuel system to support the car, stock pump plus boost a pump wasnt cutting it
