@@rylandroo1992 I think Saskia has the largest g.p. rescue in the country...Scotty volunteers there so I'm sure you've heard him talk about it. He just took some of his fosters back to the rescue so they'd get some visibility and hopefully be adopted.

Such a good piggy mom with a great routine! And yes! Sometimes I give them raspberries then lift the house to see red spots but I remember they just had red fruit before I start to panic!😂♥️
I love how with pecan normally people would separate her from the heard completely you just separate her for a little bit that is great

Awww I used to have a hamsters name who was Angus & my 8 years old self made his middle name Beef 😂 he wasn’t a very nice hamster, but I still loved him more than anything. Miss you little guy ❤️

My collection is only getting started. My goal is to be like you 😂. I currently have 4 liners, a whole bunch of pee pads, 4-5 tunnels, 2 hay bags, 3-4 snuggle sacks and a whole bunch of chews. I’m only getting started tho 😂

I've noticed now that my girls are actually eating their Sherwood pellets, they drink a lot more water. The dishes near the water empty first. 😁
Is nice when they drink more, flush out their bladders better.

I have 8 girls, my oldest is a big chewer, but she hates any and all chew toys. I have tried the whole spectrum of chew toys and it's two nibbles and she is over it. My other 7 however, love hanging chew toys.

I buy when I can but money is very tight. So I feel as long as my Piggies have All they need including Sherwood Products!! I have to work harder washing and cleaning more often what I have. I love caring for them so it's fine with me. However I am in dire need of Bedding and I'm always looking for anyone who is selling some already made that have given up on owning pigs or have lost theirs. I will eventually have enough I 🙏 Pray!! Now with the extra Pig we picked up I'm looking to a Bigger C&C Cage!!🙄❤
Your so right about the painmeds. My dog had them for 2 years and she had a happy life with them. Better 2 years with painmeds than 2,5 years without them.

I really like the liner prints. I have 4 boys in to cages that are 2x4. Mine like to chew the coroplast so i have to layer my fleece instead of useing pre made liners. I just recently got snowflakes fleece to do a winter theme cage.

I've cleaned up my 4 guinea piggy cages 2 have a cage then the other 2 have a cage. I've been doing that while watching and listening 2 u its been awesome your channels r amazing. your sooo very loving and sooo very caring its sooo sweet 2 watch. I must say I thought that they didn't like toys sooo much I might b wrong but that's wot I thought. soooo however your doing an amazing and great job sooo keep iyt up and well done u. keep on smiling hunnii . lol xxx take great care. xxremember KEEP ON SMILING xxxxx

My friend asked me to watch her guinea pigs and they came in a small cage :( They have never had hay or vegetables. I took the top off the cage and made a new one (look at my most recent video to understand what i mean) I gave them Timothy pellets because what they were eating had colorful bits in it. I have a rabbit so I had hay to give them also. Im going to Walmart later today to get more vegetables so I will slowly introduce them :)

Rats are big time into toys and chewing things. I have one girl pig who will chew anything wooden but the rest don’t really bother
Hi! I was wondering if you a feed veggies with Sherwood, even though they recommend to not? My recently adopted pigs were on Sherwood but I switched them to Oxbow because I wasn’t sure about it. Do you recommend Sherwood over Oxbow?
I use all Sherwood products and give some veggies in the morning. I personally much prefer pellets with no by products, added calcium, molasses, wheat etc so I love Sherwood.
I think it is neat how Butter Pecan calmly stayed in that bucket while you were doing your cleaning.
I have my pig on my lap and when u were cutting veggies he saw and started squeaking so loud!!!!!

Funny how people, unless they're asking in a polite way, will always need to comment a negative thing when speaking about medicines and things, it's hard to know I guess sometimes how to take it, because you can't hear a voice, so you don't know the way it's being said, but obviously you take very, very good care of your animals, so why question someone, unless of course someone just wants to know, but isn't judging or being critical. I think Pecan is getting more and more adorable, as are the others! Velvet is clearly more tame, I'm so happy for you! That's some fleece collection there, lol! I'm collecting quite a bit myself, now I have to organise everything, because my bins are too full, and now I also have boxes as well. Supposed to be moving soon, so that will be a project to do, hopefully I'll have alot more room. Very nice video, the piggies are precious as per usual!!
The last person who questions the medications was not polite, said I was making it all up in my head and giving medications to all my guinea pigs. Just is odd how some people twist things around, when in reality is 1 pig out of 10 and is the senior pig with meds only.

2x3s are the perfect size! Anything bigger I find annoying to clean off before washing. 2x3s are just easier to manage ❤️
I use to have longer cage liners and my goodness it is brutal for trying to shake off. I also find the long liners really set the washing machine off balance easier too.

Cheap equals poorly made and won't last. Pricey fleece is well made and last forever, so is worth it.

I’m getting two guinea pigs this weekend and I’m SO excited but I’m getting them from petco😓😊 I know I know I’m sorry but I couldn’t even find a single piggy anywhere even close to me that we’re up for adoption. Skinnypigs1 is this ok? I just feel like a terrible person for doing this🤧 (I have done all my research) and I’m getting a two by 4 c and c cage😃
Make sure they are healthy and be ready to take them to the vet if they start sneezing or having crusty eyes or noses. Often pet store pigs can have respiratory infections.

You mean flying bugs?
If you have bugs, your pigs need to see the vet for treatment.
Do you make your own fleece liners?
No I don't, shops I use are in the description box :)
You can put empty toilet paper rolls or empty paper towel rolls in their pens so they can chew on that too. Make sure it's not scented toilet paper because the scent is in the roll.
They are all so cute! I wish I had the time and space right now to have some adorable little furry friends! Someday! 💕 TFS!
Love this so much. I've noticed when we do cage clean outs that there's a lot of white spots, where I'm sure they're peeing with an overabundance of calcium in their system. I do feed romaine and dandelion, parsley and cilantro, along with cucumber, fennel, carrots and peppers. Mind, I don't feed all these things EVERY day at once--this is just what their veggie die mostly consists of. What do you recommend as good veggie combinations? I certainly want to make sure they're getting what they need, but I'm not sure it's so good I'm seeing the white pee spots. :( Thank you!
All pigs get rid of extra calcium through their urine, so that is what the white spots are. If you are seeing a lot and thick spots, then they are constantly getting too much. I feed the same things daily. Tomato, pepper, radicchio and cucumber. Any herb or dark green veggie has a lot of calcium. Pellets are something to consider too, healthier pellets make healthier waste. I feed Sherwood.

I had a white piggy and I'd I fed red veggies she would get it on her fur round her mouth and I always worried she was bleeding 🙄

I do when I feed my gang beetroot and the next day their poops are red
If I see RED in the Piggie Pen, yes I immediately worry. My Miss Lu has a long history of UTI, besides her liver function problem. So i ALWAYs turn the overhead light ON in the early morning when I tidy up (not just the lamp i keep on at night) Catching the RED color early can mean the difference between getting her into the Vet this morning vs. going to a Emergency Vet later that night. It's surprising what you can miss if there isn't enough light in the room. You're the best piggie parent on 2 legs Abby! ;-)
I have done the trick of putting a bit of peroxide on a spot I am concerned about. If it fizzes is blood, if not is nothing to worry about!
I have a question is fleece better than shavings
they’re both good. although you save more money with fleece. you may pay more in the beginning, but you don’t need to buy more every month, like you do with shavings. using fleece is also better if you need to check the access calcium and stones and things like that. and fleece makes it easier to spot clean. i recommend buying high quality fleece over shavings. hope this helps a bit!

I know this is an older video, but when do you fully clean the cage? I heard you say "on Friday" but is that every Friday? Or once a month Friday? (I don't have any guinea pigs but I really want one and want to research as much as possible.)
They are social, so need to be in pairs or more :)
I clean 2 times a week since I use fleece. If you use shavings, you could probably do once a week or so.

Elizabeth Silva Sherwood recovery food has healthier ingredients and ik other people would recommend it.
