    So the Djinni becomes mad, gets spiritual, gets confused and oneshotes enemy. Sound like nice mojo to me, mon.

  • @tobias97erdt
    @tobias97erdt 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Derpy Gaming it's not 2 cards

    • @ShawFujikawa
      @ShawFujikawa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      They're hardly comparable. The Djinni combo is across 4 or 5 cards rather than 2, sometimes requires an Emperor tick, doesn't scale with any extra minions you have on your board, and the individual combo pieces are very weak in isolation. Meanwhile, Force of Nature + Savage Roar was flexible enough that you could throw it into almost any Druid deck and you wouldn't sacrifice much to get it.

    • @gayerinokripperino5920
      @gayerinokripperino5920 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shaw Fujikawa not to mention with innervates the combo scaled to 22 damage

    • @EpicUltraKingSmizzy
      @EpicUltraKingSmizzy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @ shaw fujikawa yeah but this combo is kind of cancerous because it depends on your opponents minions. so the counterplay is to not play any minions, meaning you actively prevent your opponent from winning the game just by having this combo, its kind of broken

    • @adderous
      @adderous 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the counterplay to this deck, like any combo deck, is to win before they draw all the pieces they need. Also, this combo gets blocked by taunts.

    Missed lethal at 8:00. Djinni, Djinni, pint potion, steal 3/3, pws on 0/3 gives you a 4/8, 4/8 and 0/5. Inner fire on 0/5 gives you 21 damage for exact lethal

  • @seanbrogan
    @seanbrogan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just to clear it up, Toast got his deck list from his friend Rage HS who is an AM top 100 legend player.

  • @No_Plays_Hand_Empty
    @No_Plays_Hand_Empty 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Djinni of Zephyrs created a strategy that revolved around trying to defeat your opponent in one turn without requiring any cards on the board. Fighting for board control and battles between minions make an overall game of Hearthstone more fun and compelling, but taking 30+ damage in one turn is not particularly fun or interactive.

      Come on dude, kripp explains that the charge effect comes from the copy of potion of madness

      that's why it took so long for someone to discover the deck i suppose...

      It's not that long when you consider how new MSG is.

      @grantzolldan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kyutora, right, but even prior to MSG we had Shadow Madness which has the same effect.

      Djinnplayers don't use Shadow Madness though. Apparently, it's to expensive. Literally unplayable.

    can someone explain to me why casting potion of madness on an enemy minion gives the djinnis charge? I don't really understand the logic behind it

    • @kylejulian663

      If you really want to know disguisedToast has a very detailed explanation in his video for this deck

    • @SuperNate42
      @SuperNate42 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      erich casey So the "take control of minion for rest of turn" would only make sense if the minions could, ya know, do anything at all when you take them. To make the card remotely usable, the minions have to be able to attack on the turn they are stolen. To do this, these cards actually give the minion charge for the rest of the turn also. So, when you cast the spell, FIRST the minion is stolen, and it is now friendly minion, so djinni copies any effects cast on it, and THEN he minion is given charge via the spell, and so the djinni copies charge since it was cast by a spell onto a "friendly" minion. (Hearthstone only looks at boardstate for "Friendly" "Enemy" tags, not the original player of the card) If my explanation was pretty shitty, which I'm sure it is, Disguised Toast makes a detailed video explaining the mechanic

      i watched toasts video and while i technically understand why it happens the way it does, i just feel like it shouldnt work that way. its a spell thats cast on an enemy target so i dont understand why it transfers over to the djinni. I guess they decided it should become friendly before the effect transfers over to your side of the board. Just comes down to coding i suppose. This was definitely what ben brode was talking about when he mentioned the unicorn priest. Although potion wasnt out yet when he brought it up, shadow madness was. (even though it was more mana it should still be viable with a full hand tick with emperor

      Because hearthstone works with a pile system, multiple effects from a single spell are pilled one after another, in this case scenario, the "give charge to the creature" is applied after the "take control of the creature until end of turn" because why not, and when the "give charge to the creature" is actually applied, the check for "friendly" is TRUE since we took control of the creature already, so the effect is duplicated onto the djinni.
      A way to "nerf" that would be simple, they would give charge first and then take control.

      You take the creature, then give it charge so you can actually attack with the creature. The second step happens while it's friendly so it triggers the Djinni's effect.

    This is bugged AF!! It says "After you cast a spell ON ANOTHER FRIENDLY minion". This implies that the effect SHOULD be based on whether you target a friendly minion or not. The card doesn't say "After you cast a spell on a minion, if you control that minion after the spell resolves, cast a copy of the spell on this one"
