There you go~~~~ Singing along......."Dil Dil Pakistan" has been hailed as an unofficial national anthem of Pakistan. EVERY one starting from a child to our grandparents, knows this song. In a 2003 BBC World Service online poll of popular songs, "Dil Dil Pakistan" came third. N yeah this song was released in 1987. Love your Reactions, Keep going❤.
Junaid Jamshed was the vocalist of band called Vital Signs . Vital signs was the first band of South Asia formed in 1986 . They are also known as Beatles of Pakistan . This song Dil Dil Pakistan was so huge in 1980's that you cannot imagine . Yesterday was 6th death Anniversary of junaid Jamshed . He was definitely a legend.
All wrong information dude. Firstly This is vital signs band itself. 2ndly this song was first played on ptv on august 14 1987. Top 10 national songs. And won.
In 1:32 the boy wearing blue tea shirt is Rohail Hyat the founder of Coke Studio. He did the first 5 or 6 seasons. Royat hayat was a music composer of Vital Signs and play keyboard/piano.
This song became popular the last year I was in Pakistan before moving to the US. It became so popular that it is considered the second national anthem of Pakistan and sung in every Pakistani Cricket match. I did get to see Vital Signs live in concert once with all the Karachi girls going nuts over the singer (and not just for his singing) - Ju-nade Jam-shade. That skinny brown haired keyboard dude in this band is who started Coke Studio Pakistan btw.
The guy at 2:25 of your video is Rohail Hayat, one of the most famous producers of Coke Studio Pakistan. The guy in beard quit music to pursue a career as an airline pilot. Last time I checked he was flying for Qatar Airways.
This iconic song is filmed and released in 1987. A milestone in our Pop songs and it is as popular as second National Anthem. Group name is Vital Signs. Having Junaid Jamshed, Rohail Hayat, Thank you for reacting ....
I remember that we had only one tv channel at that time, PTV (Pakistan Television) and it would broadcast this song in between the evening TV shows and we would all come running to watch the video. The days before TH-cam 😂😂😂 It was the first time that we saw young men in a band on PTV. We had Alamgir and Mohd Ali Shehki of course with their really good pop/fusion songs, but Vital Signs was a new thing entirely and that’s what changed the musical scene and when pop music and bands took off in Pakistan. There were shows on TV like VJ and Music Channel Charts to give coverage to the budding singers and groups.
Vital Signs lead Vocalist Junaid Jamshed Died in a Plane crash is 2016, Shehzad (Shahi) Hassan (Bass Guitarist) is still active in music industry. he was one of the judges in Pepsi Battle of Band and sung a couple of songs in Pepsi Battle of bands season 2. Rohail Hayatt (Key boards) the man who launched Coke Studio Pakistan in 2008 and Produced Season 1,2,3,4,5,6,12,13. He is currently Coca-Cola's music consultant helping other markets to launch the Coke Studio franchise. Both Rohail Hyatt and Shahi Hassan formed Vital Signs in 1986 Junaid joined later.
The year the song first came out was 1987. This was an amateur college student band founded by Rohail Hyatt (the keyboard player) who in 2008 also started Coke Studio Pakistan. This band's name was Vital Signs. Junaid was just the lead singer
Vital Signs released Dil Dil Pakistan in 1988. Now is Pakistan's Unofficial 2nd National Anthem. Lead Singer Junaid Jamshed died on 6th Dec, 2016, six years ago, in a air crash.
This song is the second anthem to all the Pakistanis around the world. "Vital Signs" was the first music band of the sub-continent in the mid 80s and then became immensely famous as the pop culture flourished. The guy on the keyboard in this song is Rohail Hayat, who pioneered COKE STUDIO PAKISTAN, which over the years has become a worldwide phenomenon. Junaid Jamshed, the lead singer, his voice was surreal and was unmatchable, till Allah showed him the right path and he moved away from music & devoted his life for Islam. Junaid Jamshed passed away in an air crash about 6 years ago, what a gem of a human being he was. We miss him big time.
Hey Jim - Urdu and English translated lyrics are here. This song was the winner of National Song competition on our state television back in 1987, and have became an unofficial anthem for us. Released in 1987 by a Pakistani band Vital Signs. Junaid Jamshed was its lead vocalist. He perished in a plain crash in December 2016. It is a patriotic song. Some argue that it's probably Pakistan's unofficial second national anthem.
Hi, first of all, it's always great to watch your videos which have a very pleasant feel about them mainly because you come across as a very pleasant person yourself. Briefly, Junaid Jamshed was a member of a modern pop group in Pakistan. The 4 member group called 'Vital Signs' was very popular in the 80s and 90s and developed quite a big fan following especially after their patriotic song "Dil Dil Pakistan". This song, in fact, became the third most popular song worldwide according to a poll conducted in over 150 countries by BBC world service. In Pakistan, the song continues to enjoy iconic status. By the way, the video you played is from the 80s. The group started fading away after the mid-90s. Junaid Jamshed embarked upon a Solo career but eventually called it quits around 2001 or thereabout. He remerged as a devout Muslim devoting himself to Islam and promoting its ideology. It was quite a revelation not just because of the huge change in mindset but also for the fact that he was giving up a passion that had brought him so much fame. He still used his gifted voice but this time it was for Islamic recitations usually with minimum music involved. This was followed by the launch of his clothing brand JJ which was an abbreviation of his name. It took off quite well with loads of branches opened throughout Pakistan as well as abroad. Unfortunately, he died along with his wife in a plane crash in 2016 in the northwestern part of Pakistan. To pronounce his name Junaid Jamshed, try this: Say 'June' and 'aid' together. However, the 'D' at the end would sound like the ' th' in the word 'Bathe' To pronounce Jamshed, just combine the words Jam and shade. Again pronounce the 'd' like a 'th' in the word 'Bathe'
This song was released in 1986. The band's name was "Vital Signs". Junaid Jamshed was the lead vocalist in the band at that time. He later started his solo career, and further late in his career, he stopped singing. Unfortunately Junaid Jamshed died in December 2016, in a plane crash.
VS were the 1st ever pop band after a decade of very strict dictatorship, where pop music was banned. This was a very early video version of song but being hailed as sigh of relief after a decade, was a blast. The album version (Vital Signs1) was very polished. The person on keyboards is Rohail Hayat, the man behind initiation of "Vital Signs" and "Coke Studio".
Very catchy as u said also labelled 3rd most popular song of all time by BBC in 2003 and still on most Pakistanis lips during patriotic moments. Most iconic band, pioners of pop music in Pakistan, written by on of the best writers and producers/Director of Pakistan named Shoaib Mansoor. Also Rohail Hayat on Piano/keys is the guy who basically came up with the idea of Coke Studio and its original creator and produer from S1-S6 and then did S12&13 aswell. You may listen to his intrview at Harvard to gt to know how he came up with th idea of mixing traditiona land modern music in a unique way, v interesting listen.
One interesting thing is a guy in blue tshirt nd brown hair... His name is Rohail hayat and he was the pioneer of coke studio he was the music director of first 4 5 seasons of coke studio and made it a brand👌👌👌👌
There is a boy on keyboards namely Rohail Hayat basically he is the founder of coke studio Pakistan he produced coke studio season 1 to 6 later season 12 and 13
Well, now you have opened another jewelry box. Vital Signs is the name of his band, this is their first hit song which came out in the late 80s since then they became the heart throb of Paksitan, since Dil Dil Pakistan is a national song which got huge popularity and fame all over Pakistan, and this is the favorite song of every single Pakistani person. Junaid Jamshed died 6 years ago on a plane crash (May Allah bless his soul) and yesterday (7-Dec) was his death anniversary, that's why some people recommended to you this song. Vital Signs has so many lovely and beautiful songs that once you start hearing them you will get eager about them more and more.
This group was formed in 1987. Called Vital Signs. This song was released in 1987. Guy in yellow shirt “Salman” went ahead and formed Janoon band. You reacted to their great songs like “Sayo neeee”. The guy in blue shirt is ‘Royal Hayat” who started coke studio as producer and musician. Drummer also formed an other band but that is not as famous as other too
Like the other commentators have said this is the unofficial national anthem in Pakistan, recently at an event I embarrassingly found myself struggling to sing along our official national anthem but when this song came up I had no problem at all. This song was so huge back in the late 80s early 90s that I think we can say this song kick started Pop\Rock scene in urban Pakistan even though there were other bands with degree of success around the same timeline.
Old memories it's a legendary singer Junaid Jamshaid its like second national anthem and this leading singer now passed away in plan crash accident few years back but he totally changed plz see his life transformation towards Islamic preacher that is also much learning for us thanks buddy take care
