  • Journalist and campaigner Nick Wallis says that sub-postmasters and mistresses are fed up with the response of the authorities to the Horizon IT scandal.
More than 700 sub-postmasters and mistresses had their reputations ruined by allegations of theft and false accounting, with many left bankrupt or in prison, as a result of the computer system.

People need to go to jail for all this.. and NOT the sub-postmasters! Strip that witch of her CBE and then lock her up along with all the members of the PO board!

Along with the post office investigators and prossecutors that apparently committed pergery, living to courts that only sub post masters could change data and that ther were no faults in the Fujitsu system. Those need to go to jail as well.

The issue of Paula Vennells' CBE is a massive red herring. She became CEO in 2012, long after problems with Horizon and unwarranted "investigations" and prosecutions came to light. And the longest-serving member of the present Board has been in post since 2015. Virtually all the others joined 2021-2023.

Here is the thing, apart from all the other aspects of this affair the role of Lord Neuberger in the Recusal seems to have escaped attention.
I have therefore pasted the following ‘The role of Lord Neuberger in the recusal fiasco (Justice Fraser) should be investigated’ on as many TH-cam articles as I could, about ten, but when I checked to see if there was any response I discovered they had all been taken down.
This Kafkaesque episode staggers one at every turn, even when Big brother has been outed he seems to be still working away!
I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed.@@blazzz13

The fact that documents were redacted is in itself a non brainer crime. All liars should be brought to justice immediately. If this happened in the USA then it would have been game over by now.

Was the system in fact set up to scam, recording false entires of shortfalls that didn't exist? There must be a completely separate public Inquiry just on the computer system and who knew what about it. If this was authorised by the lawyers, accountants and management then jail time in Durham and Wakefield is appropriate.

    • @Royboy50
      @Royboy50 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

It appears to me the PO was having short falls but couldn’t trace them ,so this scheme was rigged to fix a problem they were unable to trace thus making these people guilty with IT evidence pre loaded in ,sorry if it sounds vague but I can’t put it any other way.

Yet again the politicians, authorities and higher management put political and career gains over doing the right thing and stepping in early to say "something is wrong and we need to look at this "
I would say shame on them, but they have none. If Rishi has any chance of winning the election he needs to grow a pair and do the right thing and do it properly

What were the auditors doing at that time? What were the superiors of the post office doing? The system error was obvious. All those related auditors, government officials and/or who are related should be in jail.

Therein lies the problem. Clearly something was going badly wrong, but the "system error" WASN'T obvious, especially as Fujitsu, who developed and maintained it, insisted for such a long time that it was completely robust.

Actions need to be taken from the top ( responsible ministers) all rhe way through to the local managers and Fujitsu managers. Gave my stuff to neighbors. I've seen some take a pkg. Put at the doors. Take a pic. Pick it up and take it with them. It is corrupt in more ways than one. That doesn't mean all are involved. People will always abuse a system... when they feel they can getaway with it.
The sub-Post Office company structure... of allowing independent business owners access,
to every aspect of the customer 'transaction' was always going to be plagued with people skimming money off it.
The Post Office allowed this... but then it got out of hand. It became ubiquitous, even considered normal.
A deterrent had to be implemented. It backfired. It's really quite tough to defeat human nature.
