I LOVE this, the editing, use of clips/music, casting choices and especially the tone are all fantastic, it feels like it walks the line between Desperation and Inspiring which is perfect for Batman. Can anyone tell me what shot 0:54 is from?

While Jake Gyllenhaal is a great fighter he's not big enough or tall enough to be either Bruce Wayne or Batman and yes this trailer used clips from Batman Begins.

Gyllenhaal would work in James Gunn's Batman timeline. I love him as an actor and he said himself that he wants to play Batman, especially given how he was considered for Nolan's Batman films back in the day. Not to mention, he still looks great for his age and he's got a great array of films under his belt (Zodiac, Nightcrawler, Donnie Darko and even Prisoners proves that he can handle dark psychological material). I even liked his Roadhouse remake, which that movie shows he can fight just as well as Batman. My one request is that if Gunn doesn't do an origin story; he can just say that Batman's been around for a long time and have him established already and have Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent be in their own pathways. Also I want Catwoman to pop up once in a while. That's one thing I heavily hated Snyder's films (sorry Snyder, Carla Guigino as Selina ain't gonna cut it)! Either get Sofia Boutella, Morena Baccarin, Adria Arjona, someone hot who can actually act and looks sexy in a pixie cut or catsuit.

The footage is from Red Sparrow, i just took a clip of Batman in a green screen (th-cam.com/video/_nSYrbVjAB0/w-d-xo.html) added a blur and turned the opacity down
