Great find your video quite good. Done a few trips and stay at that baden baden roads round there are amazing. Going again this September, and doing a few other places but not sure where yet
Ahh I love the feeling of when you're just getting on the road, knowing you've got a huge trip ahead of you. Thanks for posting, looking forward to episode 2!
@@MotoWaifu every summer I go outside UK. Last year rode as far as Croatia and the year before that in Spain (Picos). This coming June I'll do the "Route des Grandes Alpes"

Thank you for the video. Good to know how to undo those hooks on the ferry since I'll be using that ferry to go to the UK and back on my bike in November. The breakdown at the end of the video was also a very nice addition. Can't wait for the next video!
I’d definitely recommend watching a video for the hooks, I think what I did was pure look from fiddling with everything. 🤣 ah awesome glad you liked the breakdown. A nice little touch for everyone watching till the end 😁🙏🏻❤️🗺️📍
Great video..just came across your channel and I take my hat off to you for doing this.going to watch the rest now and you’ve given me some inspiration already and a great cause aswell..I will contribute if I find the link..thanks and enjoy and stay safe

Wonderful video, I've been looking forward to this. Look forward to your next episode. This is inspiring me to book a trip to Europe this summer. Good suss with overtaking the Japanese tourists, you'd probably still be checking in now otherwise...
Glad you enjoyed it! Haha so true, I was just about to take my luggage off and go in but then I seen the mass amounts of suitcases coming off of the bus. 😆😆
I worry a lot about details and find it hard not to plan too far ahead, you give me inspiration to just go and get on with it, so true about biking and how much it helps find your own mind space, it's really something special, your videos are really rewarding to watch, so relaxing. Thank you.
Thank you so much 🥰❤️ in terms of planning… all I did was set an end point and then roughly map my journey, but this definitely changed day to day. With accommodation I just book it on the day. There are always so many places available to stay. :)
What a pleasure to watch, I often ride solo to many different places however I have not yet been out of the UK..YET. This video was absolutely awesome 👌, thanks for sharing
@MotoWaifu I have just watched your previous videos on your trip to Italy, awesome awesome content ! To be honest I don't plan at all very well and end up taking stuff I don't or infact never will need 🤣. Looking forward to further videos on your current trip, high five !
Having followed your adventure on instagram, I've been greatly looking forward to this series and it's off to a great start! Whilst others might not be interested in the motorway stuff I found it really useful to watch. I'd love to tour Europe one day, and it's helpful to see how others approach crossing the continent to reach the further flung destinations when on a time limit (also, being quite an anxious person, seeing how things like the tolls work is really helpful). Thanks for sharing all of this with us, it's so inspiring 😊
Ah so happy you liked it! 🥰🙏🏻 ahhh glad you found the numbing bits useful! That’s why I kept them in :) so many people skip these days in bike vlogs but I always wondered why, it’s still part of the journey.. See you in the next one! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@MotoWaifu they're super useful, and a good, realistic reminder that touring isn't always exciting - sometimes you just need to get the miles done! Can't wait for the next one, I might be a few days late in watching it but I'll definitely be tuning in as soon as I can. Take care ☺
This is awesome Laura! Such an achievement and to be so raw and humble in your story, while bringing awareness to a mental health charity too, you have no doubt saved lives with that and shown people that it's OK to not be OK and still chase and achieve your dreams, which is a beautiful thing! Only nit-pick I had was, the video wasn't long enough lol! Brilliant video and I look forward to part 2! 🔥👍
Thank you so much ❤️ I’ve had such a great response from the beginning trailer. I’m so glad it can help so many 🙏🏻 haha don’t worry the next ones will certainly be longer when there are less motorway journeys 😝🗺️📍
Great first episode Laura, Hope there will be more riding film when the scenery gets better. Have been looking forward to this adventure for a long time now! Keep up the great work! Love from Norway. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes definitely, next episodes are looking more like 20 minutes 😊 didn’t know how much motorway riding people would like to see in this first episode so kept it short 😆
Great video.. Made we want to tell my Boss to do one, jump on the bike, and not come back until I run out of money! Regarding your £350 petrol fun, in theory it's just a pending payment that shouldn't actually come out the bank. Scares me every time though!!! Looking forward to the next episode.
I’m sure we all have those feelings, sadly I wouldn’t be gone too long in that theory though. 😆 yeah the petrol thing sucked but now I know for next time…
Epic video! Question for you as im planning a cross europe trip on an mt07 as well. I see you haven't had a windscreen mod in any of your videos. Do you find these long distances totally manageable without one, or would it be significantly more comfortable with one?
Personally I find it manageable - but I've never known otherwise. I think the worst thing I could do would be to do a trip like this on a GS, because I'll know all the comfort I'm missing out on haha! I wouldn't bother putting a screen on the MT07 unless its for aesthetics - it really doesn't make enough of a difference.
Thanks for the sub 😄😁 haha yeah, in the past I’ve stayed solo at hostels and air bnbs - but I’ve had a couple bad experiences at AirBnB, so I thought I’d treat myself to some nice hotels this time around.. 😊
Great first episode, pity about the first fuel stop. Really don't know know how you did that many miles, I have the so called comfort seat on my MT07 and I couldn't go that far. Bet is was fun meeting all the other bikers.
It’s all part of it, I got the money back in the end 😊 but good that so many people are seeing it and can learn from it in future! Haha I’m always chugging out big miles so I guess I’m used to it. Half way through the trip though I changed my mind… not so comfy after 5000km 😂
The pre-payment on British cards in France is a bit of a mystery. It’s not something I have to worry about but I asked a friend who has a holiday home if there is any pattern to those pumps that take the pre-payment and those which don’t. He said that he has never had to make a pre-payment in 15 years of visiting France regularly.
@@MotoWaifuIt’s got nothing to do with money in his account, it’s to do with the pumps that you use. I guess that perhaps by using the pump at Eurotunnel and buying fuel on the autoroutes in France you are falling into a tourist trap. It might of course simply be your bank not repaying any pre-payment immediately. I buy a lot of petrol in France. A lot. Every time the pump indicates that I can fill up to a given amount which is usually €100 or €120. The only debit from my bank account is the cost of the fuel bought. Two of my motorcycles have fuel tanks less than 12 litres. I might fill them both up on the same day and under your theory I could expect my bank account to be up to €240 lighter. That never happens. I asked my friend specifically because I have heard tourists mention it on TH-cam. As I said it has never happened to him.
Mine was declined because I didn’t have enough money, the pre-payment amount is €150, but I thought it was €100. So I just kept putting €100 in there and it kept taking it but bouncing…
When the correct amount is taken €150, it deducts the amount of petrol you use and then immediately reverses the charge. If it doesn’t take the correct amount, it can hold it for several days, or in my case weeks.
Usually it gives an immediate refund… I think it’s because I didn’t have the minimum prepayment amount - which was €150… I swear it used to be €100, so I just put that into my Monzo everytime and everytime it just wiped it out…
Next time don’t bother showing the autoroute miles. It’s as boring as a boring thing and too many people think that they have to go on the peages because that’s what the influencers do. Their loss they’re missing some of the best motorcyclin* roads that they will ever find.
