This was John sikuras house back in the day. I worked there in the mid 80's. Beside the big house where the 2 bins are sitting. There was a small 3bdrm cottage and at the bottom of the hill, was a 5 bdrm house. We the workers, (stable help) would have accommodations provided. The owners, John, Glenn and John Jr. Were great people to work for. They had million dollar horses and that farm was a foaling or birthing farm. I'm glad your doing this video and the sky high shots are amazing, keep up the great work. Brought me back to my youth.

I always love hearing from the people who lived in worked in these abandoned places. Do you have any idea how it ended up abandoned?

@@iwatchtoomuchtruecrime The father came to canada and built his empire and now they are a very wealthy family The father mysteriously burned up in his cadillac, and there were some rumors going around that he was part of the mafia, (who knows) the farm was then handed down to one of the sons and eventually they sold the land to developers and moved the farm to king city ontario. The other son runs another farm in Kentucky. We used to ship horses to and from there for various reasons. They were fantastic people to work for.

@@mrboots066 It's interesting that there are so many Trophies there for Hilary Buller, guess its possible that the Buller family either owned it for sometime or was boarding there. William "Bill" Buller who passed away in December 2007 and was an Irish Equestrian in the 1972 Olympics. His son followed suit with equestrian competition in the Olympics in 1996 and his daughter is the one on the majority of the Trophies Hilary.

@@4N5W3R5 it's very possible. After I left, it could have changed owners. They did board horses to. Alot has changed since I was there. The subdivision built down the street now, was not there and the homes were so far apart, just empty land. Most of which were horse paddocks.

Thankyou for telling us that. For me it's sad to see such a place abandoned. I,m glad someone is going to do something with the property, hopefully find a use for the house.

This is the third different explore of this house that I have seen and as always, Noah does not disappoint. He always notices and focuses on unique details! Who knew there was a GREEN MARBLE fireplace in that bay window patio facing room? Nobody else gave close ups of the trophies. This almost felt like a whole different house with Noah behind the camera.

Love the sofa in the pool room, it could still be saved! Enormous stables, they must have had a lot of expensive horses trained in various genres by all the trophies and ribbons. Makes you wonder what happened to them all, probably sold off. It's a real shame developers get a hold of these properties. That house could have easily been made livable again, even the barns could have been re used for horses. The living space upstairs would definitely be for the head horse handler, they need to be on call caring for the horses 24 / 7, l would imagine. Another great explore.🦘🥰🤑😧😁

I think you're right and at least part of this home was built way before the 1960s. A lot of the original fixtures appear to be in place (front door, mouldings, especially outside the house on the upstairs veranda) and then the home was updated in the 60s (that wood and turquoise kitchen is a dead giveaway) and 70s or 80s (purple bathroom). Great tour as always.

Hey Noah great explore. I love these explores where you have to piece together what happened. I’ll just add my two cents. I know some folks have said it was a grow house that was busted by the cops. I don’t think so. I’ve seen those and they usually modify the heck out of the ventilation system. I didn’t see any of that here. I agree with you. It probably had several uses after being used as a home most recently some type of event space. Once it became abandoned it looks like the local PD has been doing some training there. The rounds you picked up look like some type of “marking” rounds. Police were probably practicing forced entry and stacking. Same with the stables. The hole your buddy pointed out looked like it was made by det cord. It looks like the owners may have had a riding school or done equine therapy there. The trophies were probably left by students. You’re tearing it up this summer my friend. Keep up the good work.

Right away, that door knob in the middle of the door, that is something cool, to me anyway, and you know to install that door knob it probably takes a lot more than a traditional one. Also the kitchen being divided the way it is, you got the sink and dishwasher in the one side and then all the rest of the appliances on the other side such as oven and stove plus more sinks, pretty cool but it's different.

    • @thomprobus777

The apartment in the television series family affair had doors with center positioned knobs. An architect told me that the style of doorknob position was popular briefly during the 1960s. The problem was, when people open the doors from the inward swinging side, sometimes the edge of the door would hit the bridge of their nose, sometimes breaking their nose. This lead to lawsuits, so this style of door has pretty much disappeared. Especially from any property which is rented or open to the public. If you see this type of door, be careful!

I BIG pile of shit! Houses from that era used the cheapest basic plain material with gaudy stick ons to "try" and make it look like something expensive or glamorous. Instead they built a dark dingy depressing box with a bunch of rooms. These houses took away the real homes from earlier times because no one had any skills anymore to build anything better. That entire house & era needs to be sent to the dump! Looks like someone has already started the process ✌🥴☮
