@@marcusbullock630 umm.. then why the hell are there dead fish laying all over the downwind side of the reservoir in the middle of august when the temps top 120 when they draw it down to six inches? warm water carries less oxygen than cool water.. ever been to that place in the middle of a heat wave? That reservoir directly south of there, same thing, and that next reservoir east too? Yeah, fish kills aren't a thing, especially when the shad all die off in some of these lakes.. how long you been fishing out there son?
@@werftv4580 i was just there. a fish kill isnt the same as halting the water flow. a winter or summer kill is caused by specific conditions... mainly algal blooms, etc. Calm down.
@@marcusbullock630 umm, I didn't say a HAB, I actually referenced a fish kill... not a Harmful Algal Bloom, a gill netting event, or having all the water pulled out.. I just pointed out there is a huge die off of fish in that reservoir during summer, and keeping some fish is a good idea if we all want to keep fishing there.. in no way did I reference algae, chubacca, ALF, the fat guy from blues traveler, or your mom... the fact of the matter is, we should retain fish from that place to reduce the summer fish kill..
Imperial Valley resident here, and I appreciate the local uploads you have for us. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Got to love those valley fish hitting right at your feet 😊 what a good day of fishing just have to deal with this heat
I'm going there this Sunday. The bass are nicely sized there I've heard
and yes, I saw a tank smallie caught there years ago, went over six, maybe closer to eight
Is there a fee you have to pay to go fishing there
Where's that reservoir at
Is it legal to fish there?? Looks like the whole place is fenced ...
very nice.. should keep a few out of there before the fish kill comes on this summer.. because it will.. especially at that place
fish kills arent possible at this reservoir. it's not eutrophic
