This is some highly appreciated work! You’re gonna single handedly change the 6.0 fuel game!

Lol. Wait for the next video. Engine is on a pallet!

Keep in mind: Engine oil is keeping particles in suspension which added in you fuel tank over the years. If you start with black diesel these particles will end in you filter !
Also always clean you oil very well. My advice is 3 fuel filters and enough diesel so you can prefill your filters depending on your car.

This is all excellent information. Will keep you informed on my progress.

Smitty have you seen any of CUTTERUP ROB 's video on WMO/Black Diesel? He has really good info on filtering and ratios for gas to oil. He's been going it for a long time. Even though he's a Cummins guy he talks about Fords a little. If he's not sure about specific engine running WMO he knows a lot of other guys running it in other engine that may help.

      I'll check it out! Thanks

Good work. You've pretty much shown us the additional filtering needed with the oem filters plugging so quickly. Another thing I have seen is that when using gas, it's been shown to evaporate after the engine is shut off, and form wax deposits in/on the injectors etc. So guys either go with a two tank system to shut down on pure diesel to prevent, or just cut with diesel instead of gas.

All trial and error! Hope to get it all figured out.

Doing the lords work, testing if the 6.0 will run reliably on WMO. Whens the next update? Also, have you looked into stronger filtration for the WMO, like a centrifuge?

Is all that stuff coming from the tank or the oil? Run it through a filter while filling your tank to check there, then get some reusable 30-50 micron mesh filters to get that big stuff out. You can get clear units meant for a boat and see what is stuck in there.

It was passed through several filters. It is sludge that comes from the moisture in the oil. Need to centrifuge it out. Soon.

I run black diesel in my 6hoe i run my oil thru a 2 oil filters with a 60 oil 40 diesel i have a 30 over nozzles an over sized banjo bolts with bypass or pass thru fuel rail.
Also running an airdog fuel pump. I rebuild my fuel injectors my self
I run this on the daily avg 21mpg with a 65 hp tune.
I have 4" open exaust an have very little if any smoke.
But it sure smells like shit so kinda fun when you want to roll coal on someone.
    Its bad

Are you letting your mix settle at all? I've had a lot of sludge settle after mixing my gas in it.

I always draw off the top of my tank. I still end up with some water though. Seems to run through the truck in the summer but plugs the filters when it's cold.

Just curious, what is your process for cleaning the oil?

It's probably not adequate since I keep plugging filters....

@@Brandonlexx1 mhmm. Don't let me annoy you cause part of this is just so you will have more comments but tttt centrifuge and heat

Yeah I say centrifuge for the water there's some crazy guy in Florida that sells one for pretty cheap for couple hundred bucks and then you can use like cheesecloth to filter down to 1 microns. And i read that about 15% diesel is a good ratio. But good luck..im enjoying this. Thanks for busting your knuckles for us and science!
See if fass will give u a promo code. I need me a fass on my 6.0 because im having the same issues and im not using waste o. ..but my oil cooler is f'd aswell I think

Pump diesel 70% to 30% black diesel in warm weather, cold weather I wouldn't bother doing it!

I read an old timer say never use more than 5% gas

    • @Brandonlexx1
      @Brandonlexx1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

I have people telling me to use 30% too. Who really knows. Melted it down. Guess I don't! Video to come soon.
