That element was proposed by Anton Schwarzkopf in the 80s. I have an old book with a picture from an old IAPPA convention with a model showing the element. Obviously not built at the time, but that's where RCT got the idea.
It’s a powered coaster, so unlike the original incarnation it could actually work since they can adjust how long each element takes, controlling the G forces.
So, a Powered Coaster is all it takes, to make that element doable. While nice, its just so short, hope longer models eventually will appear. Its definitely looking like it will have decent capacity with 2 trains like that, for such a short ride, that is pretty impressive.
This is an announcement from the manufacturer, it’s not confirmed to have had any of this model bought or anything so who knows. They just put generic theme park stuff around it for the video to look nicer and in the context of a park.
There's also one identical to it in the same frame, to the left in the middle of the figure-8. Think you may be reaching a liiiiiittle too far there, bud.
Looks like a powered coaster and not a normal gravity driven coaster. If you make the onboard electric motors powerful enough you can make everything a reality...
love the physics of barely clearing the single loop and the also clearing the figure 8 which is twice as tall. Either you die of g-force in loop 1 or we invent a new LSM more powerful than god to fit in the tiny space between the loop and figure 8
Who is the market for this? Does it have any key differentiators that make this model attractive to buyers? Sure it looks cool, but it seems like innovation without a purpose. These models seem like a reaction to other manufacturers releasing innovative designs. It’s like a “oh crap” other manufacturers released a new concept so we need to do the same to stay relevant play
They really just looked at the rollercoaster tycoon figure 8 element and said “yeah we’re gonna do that”

“Thank you, Frontier” we all say in unison
@@jasonkloos6348It’s a joke
@Zane_1616 so you like angry birds just like me then judging by the king pig that’s on your picture profile
@@jasonkloos6348It was German Designer George Putz that designed the Figure 8 inversion
This looks like a maintenance nightmare
Was going to say this myself
That rollercoaster is crazy but good it's a 8 out of ten.
Wow this is actually a super innovative design! Love the profile and the Gs seem like they would be REALLY good on this ride.
The G-Force Would be insane on this ride
I agree
It’s a powered coaster, so unlike the original incarnation it could actually work since they can adjust how long each element takes, controlling the G forces.
Very weird indeed
No, because it’s powered, so they just slow down the train.
@@pollutingpenguin2146 that’s true
Such a crazy but compact design. I love it!
Maurer is cooking with this model! Let's see some installations soon!
In class I always make little eight loops hoping one day it would be real and Maurer made it!!! Big ahock

Son of Beast 2 with figure 8 loop instead of the previous one?
Looks cool but I hope this ride won’t be too loud with those gears. Seems really interesting though.
This is such a cool model
This looks absolutely sick Maurer!!!! Just imaging this at sea lol😂
Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine ACHTerbahn🤓👏🏼
Use x car lap bars, not vest restraints
Ok, now this is epic
Ya'll crazy. When does it open?

Do this with spinning trains
The same mechanism used on cruise ships again for Maurer. Props to Maurer.
reliability?
Great model! This would be a fantastic fit for a park like Knott’s Berry Fram, Hershey or Dorney Park.
Finally!
this will come to cedar point btw, in the background i saw the top thrill 2 spike at 0:45 seconds
There's also one identical to it in the same frame, to the left in the middle of the figure-8. Think you may be reaching a liiiiiittle too far there, bud.
this would probably work at six flags america
Coastoons, looks like they’re not giving up yet.
You guys should ask carnival if they want to put this on a cruise ship, it would be very marketable
Looks fun
Georg Putzch will be proud
Those are cool looking trains
This reminds me of the GeoTrax planes that I used to have lol
This looks like something out rollercoaster tycoon
Looks like something someone would build the first time booting up planet coaster...
is this a powered coaster?
Yes
Endlich ne richtige "Acht"-erbahn 😂
Powered coaster that inverts? Last time we saw that it didn't go so well but this looks good. Let's hope it's smooth.
Last time?
There used to be a looping coaster at France but it crashed and was shut down
If this is the same ride model as the coaster on Carnival Mardi Gras, GOOD LUCK
maurer… we need to talk about your recent designs…😅
Maintenance nightmare
Intamin's lawyers will be having a conversation with them over that figure 8 loop very soon.
But since it’s piwered isn’t it technacally not a roller coaster?
It is. Powered coasters are a thing
@@shayconator I know powered coasters are but they aren’t roller coasters on a technical term if they rely on power the whole course
@@LordOfTheRides29 eh yeah

maurer, please dont try this, it looks cool but the last guy who attempted this failed misserably, you should rather do spinning X car coasters.

Endlich kommt die stehende Acht. Hoffentlich auch als Reisende Anlage. 📺🖥📺
Awesome!
I've actually made a #8 element like that on a arrow dynamics coaster on nolimts 2 about 10years ago
Sehr geil 🤘🤘⚒️⚒️
capacity
What game is this? This would blow planet coaster 2 out of the water 💦
now who is controling the speed on this oen cuz there more then 2 people on this train
sorry maurer but u gotta focus on other things not enough parks are buying plz go back to launch x car and improve that
You had one job and excluded the POV from the 8 looping.
Is it just me. Or does the top of the figure 8 look a little toooooo tight

Arrow already did this hehe
Anton Schwarzkopf is rolling in his grave lol
u sure that aint too tight. coach clearens must be used fully hhahaha
First of many
Not happening.

Go back to spinning coaster and stops doing does
go back to school and learn english
