Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib Trek | Late June | 2023

How to reach valley of flowers???
Reach early to the Rishikesh/Haridvar bus station before 4:00AM if you want to travel by local bus. You can also hire a taxi to Joshimath or GovindGhat. After reaching GovindGhat you can start trekking after going 4km via passanger taxi (50₹ per head) to the Pulna village. You then register yourself at the booths for Hemkund trek.
Trekking Day 1
Pulna to Ghangharia trek 14KM, Rest at Ghangharia at camp/room/gurudwara.
Trekking Day 2
Ghangharia to Hemkund trek 7KM, you have to reach Hemkund before 2:00 PM before it closed. Then return by the same route to Ghangharia (7KM)
Trekking Day 3
Ghangharia to Valley of Flowers Trek 4-5KM, it starts at 8:00 AM and closes about 5:00 PM, you have to come back before that time. Nobody is allowed to stay in the night at Valley of Flowers.
Trekking Day 4
Ghangharia to GovindGhat Trek 14KM, you can also plan to go Badrinath at the same day by local bus/taxi. GovindGhat to Badrinath distance is about 25KM, you can spend a night there and pick a local bus to Rishikesh in the early morning (4-6am) next day.
