Well if Beardo had worked here and had refreshed the hero power with Gnomebliterator Kripp would have died to infinite 0 mana Gnomebliterators. Don't know why Beardo's effect didn't trigger, perhaps because it doesn't work with treasure spells?

Bosses are inmune (few exceptions, like cost increase) to hero power manipulation. You cannot prevent a boss from using his hero power and, apparently, refreshing it.
@@GodarXtreme This is not true at all, "hero power manipulation" as you call it is a thing and people have been exploiting it for some time. In this case however this might be a fail safe as a turn 3 Beardo with you having only a 2 mana deal X damage spell like forstbolt means an instakill and the players would whine to much about it.
Ovarel not to mention that you’d literally have no turn, as this boss starts with mana advantage

Hey Kripp. I haven't seen your videos for years since the D3 days. I always loved them. I just wanted to say that Diablo 2 Median XL new season is starting on Oct 16th. The game is amazing. You should def come back to Diablo 2 for this. Tons of new content/Endgame/ and builds.

I actually managed to exploit Toomba in the first wing in much the same way as Kripp does Jolene here. Just make sure the Gnomebliterator is your only card in hand and that you have some taunted-up deathrattle minion (Rhonin for me), which seems to make the AI act up.

i did not know gnomebliterator worked that way, i never tried it because i thought it does only 10 damage when you play it and in the final encounter it does 10 damage to something and 10 damage to the boss, not that every time you play it carries over to the boss...
Finally got the VIP and the BOB deck card.... but all i got was 32 pogo hoppers and the reduce cost by one, was using Reno with the 2 split dmg hero power and even cards reset hero power... it worked, but wasn't as cool as the deck Kripp got :(

That boss actually spoiled the ending
This is funny, cause after yesterday's video I played Reno that way without VIP and wasted so much time just gnomebliterating everything, and I was trying to keep track of how many I had cast but my memory is awful. So, when I finally got to the plague lord, I took him from 300 to -310 ._.

Was getting pissed off at the earlier portions of the video but boy was the ending glorious. All that time spent for an effortless 532 damage KO.
There was definitely an hour of effort put in before dealing 532 damage
I don't think you've made a video on this yet, but I think I found the easiest (although pretty time consuming and kind of a pain in the ass) OTK possible. Elise with the moonfire generating hero power, Jr./Sr. navigator, and any that restores or adds health that you can make cost 0. Boom, infinite moonfires.
P.S. I say I think its the easiest since half of the combo you get guaranteed at the start of the run.

@@phuocminhluu2919 I wasn't suggesting he make a video on it, I was just sharing. Also there are ways to make it go faster, for instance in my run I had the spells spawn minions from your deck thing with 5 malygos, plus the 10 spellpower treasure, so every moonfire hit for 10-30

Why didn't the boss otk kripp 20:00 . It had "when you cast a spell refresh your hero power." Both the hero power and Gnomebliterator cost 0. Couldn't the boss have infinitely casted Gnomebliterator? Or am I missing something
You are missing the fact that the Hero power wasn't refreshed, probably to prevent such infinite loops. Think about it by refreshing hero power on spell cast this boss could just instantly kill you if you just have an arcane missile in your hand. I know these solo adventures are supposed to be hard but that would be straight up UNFAIR and absolutetly no fun at all.

20:25 after you used crusty on a 887/383 crusty, you've got a 1777/771 crusty (lucky sevens). BUT 887x2=1774 and 383x2=766. So you had to get a 1774/766 crusty instead of the 1777/771.Anybody knows whats happened there?
It gains 2 times the stats of whatever minion was destroyed in ADDITION to it's base stats, this means 3/5 (due to titanic ring in this particular case, normally 3/4). So 1774+3=1777 and 766+5=771. Of course these small numbers are pretty much neglectable on a minion that one hit kills EVERYTHING, including plague lords.
How does that work? The card says deal 10 damage, plus 10 damage if it's plague lord. I understand the plus ten spell damage, but I don't get it. Does it stack? The card doesn't say.
The spell deals ten damage now, when you cast it, and ten damage later, when you face the plague lord. When Kripp deals 80 damage to Mechathun, the plague lord also takes 80 damage.
That didn't answer even half the question. How does it do that? Does it stack (because it doesn't say). Even when he does 80 damage, it doesn't say on the card.
@@HumbleOmnipotent Gnomebliterator is a spell which deals 10 damage to a target, and 10 damage to the plague lord. It's not like the plague lord has some ability to ignore duplicate spells, so he takes damage each time you cast Gnomebliterator. If you use Spell Damage on the spell, that will increase the damage dealt to the target and also the damage dealt to the plague lord. If you use three Velens to double-double-double the 10 damage, that's 80 damage to your target and 80 damage to the plague lord.

How did he underestimate the final damage so much? He said that it should have been 320, but it ended up at something like 528... How did it end up at a value that wasn't a multiple of 10? I guess he added some random spell damage in there somewhere?...
The 320 was only what he casted, the rest came from the otehr boss.

My guess is the scroll of nonsense. He used the 10 damage spell at some point before the scrolls effect wore off but after turn 1.

OK, I get it now. It says "Also deal 10 damage to the Plague Lord when you fight it". This all comes into play at the end, so basically it adds up the damage from all the previous casts of it throughout the run. Any damage you did with it previously happens all at once at the end.

It's not the first time i see Beardo "bug" in pve content. His effect is probably disabled to not get the same crap we got in the monster hunt, where Toki could Beardo/unstable portal loop until she got Alexstrasza.
Good catch. I've noticed that a lot of the treasure spells only sort of act like spells. They don't seem to trigger all of the mechanics in the game. It's a bit of a crap shoot, and a little frustrating when you are expecting it to trigger. For example, casting Reno's hat should be a spell that would trigger flamewalker, but it doesn't. Another annoying inconsistency is that if you give a minion 2/2 from a tavern, and then you add 3 copies of that card to your deck with another tavern mechanic, your 3 copies don't retain the boost.
