You are correct, these were the bikes I wanted as a kid 74 was all silver 75 red tank and silver fenders 76 red fenders and tank 77 different plastic, red frame too
Beautiful, mine was a used 76 in silver for about $350.00. Then it was a brand new KX 80 (boy did my dad bitch about having to pay $863.00 for it, he bitched about the liquid cooling too 😮) Love these old gems.
Sr is 100% correct. I had mini bikes and motorcycles all through my childhood, but in the beginning it was a bunch of cobbled together stuff. We had a few friends with parents that had money and they would get the brand new XR 75s and XR 80s. We were lucky if we had a real Rupp Mini Bike. Of course I certainly wouldn’t mind having all of my Rupps back now!!! But yeah…. the XR’s were for the “lucky” kids!!!!
I mowed in my neighborhood for the entire summer I was 8 and I saved 75$ for a xr75 just like that from a family friend who said I could have it for that since it said it on the side lol I rode it for a few years great bike there tanks 😅
Yea it’s a 76. 78 had semi layed down shocks plastic snap on side plates original pipe had like 3inch baffle on the end of I remember how goofy it looked I put a DG Tiger pipe on it and had S&W Freon shocks didn’t like it then put muholland rebuildable shocks on it also larger red 125 fender that matched those older bikes with the metal tanks on them if you didn’t have the ball sac dent on them from riding hard and sliding up on the tank you were slow
Definitely not a 78 I had a 77 my buddy had a 78 on 54 years old and I remember exact difference of both of them . that is the 76. My 77 had Chrome handlebars, the 78 had black handlebars with red grips my side plates it said XR in red the 78 said XR in blue. My front number plate was white the 78 was red. My front forks were black the 78s were aluminum color my Hubs were aluminum color the 78s were black that's pretty much the difference between the 77 and 78. The one in the video is the 76 I do believe
Had a silver 73. One of the bikes I miss from childhood.
That looks like a 1976, 1978 had laid down rear shocks and plastic side panels.

74 was all silver

Just picked up an 83 XR100....love these old Hondas......40 years old and starts first kick everytime.
That’s a nice 1976 XR75. Had a 75 and a 77. Back in the day.
78 has a red frame, plastic side panels and longer rear fender. 76 sb worth more$$.
I had one of these when I was younger, hi from Scotland

I had a 76 xr75 back in the early 80s.......beat to he'll, busted up muffler, no rear fender, ripped up seat. But it was mine and I loved to ride it.
3:30pm every day after school "The Trails "until dark.

Definitely would be a very enjoyable bike to ride. Jordan looked like she was having a blast on it!
AWESOME BIKE AMAZING FANTASTIC ! ! ! ! ! !
Had a 76 xr75 when I was 8 back in 1990, taught me how to ride a bike with gears, was great went even better when we run it on aeroplane fuel 😂

It’s probably still going today 😎

My 1st bike was a KX 60 . i was about 9 years old. That thing was so fast.

Your right the rich kids had them I had a B&S 31/2 hp mini bike !😢. But I made it work.
True honda (Japan) quality , DON"T believe we will see a honda crf70 run like this in 45 years from now.
My first bike was a Suzuki TC 125 duel ratio.
Exactly could not afford it, but learned to tinker with old mopeds 🤗
My first bike ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Behind the chicken house is my old 79 XR80, rotting away. I would love to restore it.

Won't be long now, Christmas is a comin
👍👍
Wrong pipe. Still a great find.
That's not a 78 in 1977 xr75s got laid down rear shocks 3 more cc's a fifth gear and I think more front end travel and better rake on the front end.
I'd take a old honda over a new honda anyway I ride a xr250 1996 and a 2001 xr400r and a beta 300 2017
Not a ‘78
