This event is at ADE, the most famous electronic music industry convention in the world, the people you see behind are attending meetings, conventions from early morning and 5, 6 events per day during one week. Behind there are important members of the industry like Mike Nervous, and other promoters and big friends of Louie as well, as their team. Also other staff members from Jackies who had been on the boat for more than 10 hours organizing the event so that the rest could dance. Believing that those of us who are behind, are the ones who dance the most when we go out to a party, but there are times when we have to work and be aware of other aspects of the event. My sentiments exactly! I remember when the dj was the least important aspect of the evening. Not that the dj wasn't important but the energy on the floor and dancing to the music along with that energy was where it was at, not staring at the dj as if waiting for them to levitate. With this said I am blessed to have been born and raised in NYC during the 80's and witnessed all of this unraveling from Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage and David Mancuso at Loft to LLV himself.
