Thank you also for sharing your morning routines - and bedtimes! I will be putting that in place. But first the getting into bed on time which is the biggest problem for me at this point. My word will be tower - tea, organize, the word, exercise and read. Also so enjoyed the discussion on ambition - God looks at our heart and keeping our focus on Him is so important.
Matthew, I am always really appreciative of your advice on productivity, Bible study methods, etc, they are a great help for ministers and I think more should be taught about this subject at Bible Colleges here in the UK (perhaps it is in America?)
Excellent! Do either of you have a weekly sample schedule you would be willing to share? Seeing something on paper would be helpful for planning. Thanks so much!
On the theoretical end are H. Richard Niebuhr - Christ and Culture - the important book that sets out the five views on culture. And Henry Van Til - The Calvinistic Concept of Culture. Both were basic reading from the 1960s. I hope you have both in your library.
In all honesty, I did not like the plug about reform and productivity. You make it sound like only the reforms have a high view of God, His sovereignty, and productivity. Just makes it sound like reforms are better Christians. I just being honest. What I do like is the ambition part. Do I want more for myself that is unrealistic? That is a good question that I must ask myself.
Awesome! Thank you, very good!
So enjoyed this conversation. Thanks for having me on, Matthew!
I've watched a few of your videos without realizing it. Got yourself a sub now :)
