The optimistic speedos are SO FRUSTRATING (here in Australia). Mostly seen in post 2006 Hondas and Toyotas. They're sitting in the overtake lane at 95kph but their speedos show 100kph! (Same for slower speeds) I've overtaken so many Civics and seen their huge digital speedos read 100kph when they're actually doing 95-97. Most owners don't know about this until I tell them to download a simple GPS Speedometer app on their phone and make a comparison. It frustrates so many other road users, causing them to undertake these cars. I don't see how this is safe at all.
I ended up buying larger tires for my car to match my gps and speedo readout at 60mph. I noticed about a 3mph difference throughout the speed range before so my tires keep my gauge almost perfectly accurate.
David Balderas congrats! I got my brand new 17 yukon Denali a few months ago. Easily could’ve afforded the Escalade and even the platinum Escalade but it has less storage spaces, has annoying touch buttons and doesn’t look as good exterior wise imo.
I always thought spedos were not completely accurate because the manufacturer has to allow some play to account for tire wear. New tires will cause the spedo to show a lower speed than worn tires.

Yeah the only Tahoe based vehicle that contains the Sport mode is the Escalade. It cost extra, but makes sense. No one really uses Sport mode in a Tahoe based on it's price range and category it's in. The speedo deal, I got 2015, my speed is incorrect as always and gotten speeding ticket because of it. I tried contacting Mercedes Benz about the airbag recall and they said "its an open recall which means action doesnt have to be taken immediately, we will, however, inform you via a letter in the mail when the airbag IS available for us to replace it in your vehicle and will issue you a complimentary vehicle if needed" Meanwhile im driving kind of paranoid TBH....
Tahoe doesnt go against those vehicles. Tahoe goed against expedition, armada, sequoia, and its twin the yukon. The traverse goes against those vehicles you mentioned
For some reason the Tahoe LT with 22" wheels is the only vehicle I like the looks of these days, inside and out. They're just terribly overpriced and I hate to spend that much on general principle for something that should cost $5-$10K less than it does. Their margins must be huge.
So the quarter-million dollar Mercedes AMG GT uses the same cheap-ass airbags as Nissan Sentras, Pontiac Vibes, Mitsubishi Raiders and Mercury Milans meanwhile no Volvos were affected by the recall at all . . . Yeah, German engineering is just so great, especially when it comes to diesel.
Why are American cars so dreadful lol They all look brash in terms of their styling... not sure if its the straightlines or what but they don't look good. Mind you ...you guys love your big 4x4s, SUVs etc.
Why does the gold chevy logo remind me of a Camel cigarettes package? I just think cheap crappy 80s American made car. Chevy needs to dump the logo, demand to be called Chevrolet, and get a slightly more upclass logo. My god, you want me to drop close to $80,000 for your machine, its not a Chevy... at that price, its a Chevrolet.

Speedometer on my 2015 Genesis is exactly the same as the gps on my phone. Right down to the numbers changing at exactly the same time. Was surprised.
