I like the engineering of it and the use of a potentiometer in place of a on/off or 2/3 position switch. I think the super glue is a weak spot, Maybe should epoxy it after gluing it in place. My wife purchased one of these fans for me and i find it very useful. Thing is i find my self having to clean the fan blades from time to time. With your fixed grill this could be difficult and time consuming. A few tabs on the grill and L slots in the shroud it could be removable for cleaning of the blades and grill. Great work always nice to watch a craftsman bring there ideas to life. Thanks for the vid. keep up the good work.

My suggestion is that you should twist the wire like a spring, then when you lengthen or shorten the shaft of the fan, you won't have to adjust the wire anymore. Great work.

Twisting wire is wrong idea. Twisted wires act like coil. It will cause of power loss and cable can get excess heat. So do not twist cables
