    Very good video.
    I have built a few engines and in the past but seeing this helped as my engine is on the shelf and almost ready to assemble. Thanks and hope your cast comes off soon, been there-done that- no fun!

    Great work as always. I graduated from college in 1974 and I dreamed of getting a 1974 TR6. But alas I couldnt afford one. My TR4 had been sold a few years earlier due to rear crankshaft seals leaking and ruining clutches. If I thought I could get hold of a TR6 restored by YOU, I’d be awful tempted to pull the trigger. Your attention to detail is second to none. I love your videos. ❤️

    Great work Elin.. Back in the day I always used a bit of 'Lock-tight' on the crank and piston end cap bolts, mainly because I didn't entirely trust my torque wrench. It used to click before my own anticipated arm wrench clicked. Later I found I had an elbow joint issue, mainly caused by lifting too many pints of beer. 🤪 🤣 💪

    Thank you as always Elin.
    09:05, I had to watch 5 times. Very funny. I love how the engine stand is being pushed back across the garage floor with each blow. As far as I can tell, the only thing he is doing wrong is he is not using a big enough hammer.

    Excellent video Elin. Did you show how you installed the wrist pins in the pistons in another video? I am going over size pistons, so I need to reinstall pins etc.

      Thanks! Well, these pistons never came off the connecting rods. But soon I will be assembling the TR6 engine I am rebuilding at home and I will have to replace the pistons so it is coming soon

    Professional work as always Elin. Would you estimate the same brake horsepower

      from this rebuilt engine as it originally had from the factory?

    Moving on nicely now... how many Triumph engines have you rebuilt on the channel ? And how many to come ? You should do your original Spitfire 1200 engine some time !

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the channel I think 4... not sure. I've also done some TR2, 3 and 4 engines without filming them though. And how many more.... Well, at least 4 are waiting :) And how many are just sitting in some barn somewhere noone knows :)

    You should not use assembly lube in the cylinders (oil only) because it (assembly lube) will burn when the engine is first started and my cause damage to the cylinder walls pistons etc.

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never thought of that. You might be right. But oil will not stay there for a long time...
