The Math is WRONG in

Since healthy soil can be comprised of over 50% air... and it varies depending on the structure and health of your soil... how can we compact soils down to 1ml or displace up to 1 ml and use those numbers responsibly? The AIR is removed, so the 1ml you get represents different volumes of the soil profile depending on how structured or how compacted it is. This means ALL the soil science MATH based on this paradigm is wrong. Even weighing out a gram skews the math - there's no way to do this quantifiably. Instead we have to embrace RATIOS which are the standard in other branches of biology when examining trophic cycling in ecosystems. That's what I began to use in my work, and I'm so excited to tell you all about it!!
