Krishna says to Arjuna, "O mighty-armed Arjuna, according to Vedanta there are five causes for the accomplishment of all action. Now learn of these from me.
The place of action ( the body ), the performer, the various senses, the many different kinds of endeavor, and ultimately the supersoul-- these are the five factors of action.
Whatever right or wrong action a man performs by body, mind, or speech is caused by these five factors. Therefore one who thinks himself the only doer, not considering the five factors, is certainly not very intelligent and cannot see things as they are."

And in the Bhagavad-gita chapter 5:15 Krishna says to Arjuna: " Nor does the supreme Lord assume anyone's sinful or pious activities."

God as Brahman/Atman can change body mind by willpower or traveling flying in sky prakat antardhan by Sankalp.
Can we do so by realising ourselves as Brahman.

Actually Baruch Spinoza is the Philosopher of Determinism. According to Spinoza, we human beings are machines, which we are unaware of.

Before you make a choice yes; after you make a choice, no. The experiencer makes a choice, then experiences the choice. Ha ha ha ha ha, as, 'Mandalorians,' say: "This is the Way!" This beautifully, and inescapably, proves the objective reality of each Witness. Each. Subtle, but it is there. There is no interactive experience without a choice, and, 'prior causes,' or, 'outside causes,' also prove the reality of a chooser. A boat in motion, makes waves. We are not slaved to the same exact choice, in exactly the same format, space/time/culture/form etc., because of course, that can never happen. Complete delusion to think that things are ever the same, let alone, over and over again the same. The flaw in the logical arrangement of perspectives, that aggregate as a cohered mental matrix, is that it does not allow for the natural variance in both the situation, or, the chooser. Plainly stated: each moment is fresh, stand-alone, and it is only that we CHOOSE to repeat the same thought, for the same focus issue, cementing the mental self-image, into, whatever YOU are forming She who IS Consciousness, into. You never know who is going to transcend. Maybe it's You! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Bless

Or said another way, "Do you have free will?" "DO YOU?" Only, if you choose it. Will exhibited, is free will, no matter what is chosen.

Free will = Running out of a truck's way
No free will but still ran out of a truck's way = running out is planted by god/otherwise.
    How are they different then?

That's the peace chant from Upanishads..here you go -
      Om Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya |
      Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya |
      Mrtyor-Maa Amrtam Gamaya |
      Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
      Meaning:
1: Om, (O Lord) From (the Phenomenal World of) Unreality, make me go (i.e. Lead me) towards the Reality (of Eternal Self),
2: From the Darkness (of Ignorance), make me go (i.e. Lead me) towards the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),
3: From (the World of) Mortality (of Material Attachment), make me go (i.e. Lead me) towards the World of Immortality (of Self-Realization),
      4: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.

The present action we do is according to our "prarabdha karma" ,hence not due to free will.
When there is true yearning & believe that not me ,but Supreme One is the doer ,the same God in the form of Sakti infuse us the power to do righteous & good action( bad effect of past actions thus go on diminishing ),otherwise, for all other ,the illusion cause us to be egoistic & go on doing ,what ordained as per past action we did ( Prarabdha Karma)& suffer accordingly.
Hence ,if someone really really believes God is the doer, he can't, I repeat ,can't take a false step & do no unrighteous action.
Maharaj, it appears to be Sri Ramakrishna's view ??

"no free will" --- Is it similar to think that our actions depend on our aggregate personalities as opposed to being God's direct movements? Where people aren't responsible conciously, but neither is God? Though this seems to be a reworking of the Christian concept of sin as a non thing with no real existence...

There is no we. In each case, it is only singular. I chose to respond to you. That was My expression of Will, and it was free. The words you typed, are the expression of Your Will, and the choice was free.
